Hi all,
Just saw this on IRCC site could it be a correct information?

Global Skills Strategy work permit
Last updated: March 24, 2021

We’re still accepting new applications. We’re working at full capacity to process new GSS-eligible work permit applications.
We’re currently finalizing most applications we received between

September 20 and 26, 2020 ?

If your application is complex, it may take us longer to process it.

If this is true , then it does not match with the processing times given. The processing time from India is given as 6 weeks instead it should have been 6 months.

In a way it makes sense , because the actual processing starts after the biometrics is given . Biometrics centres were opened in late Jan 2021 for work permit in india and for those applied from India in the second half of 2020 could not have processed at all until late January 2021 .

Hey, I applied for my ICT WP from USA on 24th Nov (Bio-metrics was done on 07th Dec) and still waiting for my approval. I can stay in USA until 20th Feb and if I get approval by 3rd-4th Feb then I will send my passport for Visa stamping which may take another 2 week time to receive my passport back. However, timelines are very tough for me. So I am looking for other option as If I don't get my approval while I am here and move to India. then how much time it will take there to get Visa stamped at Delhi VAC. I live in Noida only. Is there any waiting time to get Visa stamped there in India? Please let me. Any help will be appreciated.
Sorry, for late response (last couple of months were crazy), hope you got your visa stamped in USA only, looking at many cases , visa stamping timeline in India is not following any pattern unfortunately. About the DL question, please get your Driving history (generally it will have latest DL issue date /expiry date, history of prior issued DLs)ordered from local DMV in USA.

There is no dependent visa. Your wife should be applying for an OWP and hour child should be applying for a TRV. Some companies seem to incorrectly apply for TRVs for spouses. Every visa/permit has different processing times so you will all have different processing times.
Thanks everyone for your reply.
As suggested, I have reached the visa team in my company. They are telling my application is already been filed in IRCC. But I am worried why I didn’t received my BIL.
I never know it would take this long for me to even do biometrics. Needless to say about the processing time.
I just checked in IRCC and found this:

We’re currently finalizing most applications we received between

November 29 and December 5, 2020

If your application is complex, it may take us longer to process it.

For ICT specifically?

If you have visitor visa of Canada earlier then you will not require PP submission. And you can directly travel to Canada with approval letter
Hey! Can you elaborate on this.

I have a Canada visitor visa (B1/B2). Are you saying I won't need stamping on my passport for Work visa?
