Nice and yes...also be prepare your application will take more than 6 months at Sydney CIO (well known its slowness)

it takes 8 months for me to get PPR today and most of the people take 8-10 months from Sydney CIO

You can message me here if you have question, I will receive it :)
congratulations on ur PPR!

I requested PCC from HK last year then raised a webform this year and IRCC confirmed they received the letter.
Do I need to upload the webform reply to my profile? The letter from IRCC said:
"The above information/document must be received within 60 days from the date of this correspondence. If not met ...
Please upload these documents to your MyCIC account."

In my opinion you should upload the reply along with any reference number you would have obtained by calling the Hong Kong police directly. I will let the expert add more.

Done. Had to open an account with RBC. They issued me a demand draft in HKD.:)
As always... you saved my day. Thank you so much.

Hi,

One update today in my express entry profile.
I received the letter from IRCC containing the two addresses and asking for HK PCC.
The Addresses given are:

Regular mail:
ATTN: EE Registry
Case Processing Agent
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
CIO – Correspondence
PO BOX 8400
Sydney, NS
B1P 0G6
Canada

Courier:
ATTN: EE Registry
Case Processing Agent
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
CIO-Correspondence
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2
Canada

Now my problem is that I have already sent the courier with all the application forms, fingerprints, DD along with a cover letter with the Sydney CIO office. The address in my cover letter was the Courier address given above however I read somewhere that HK police sends the PCC via normal post.

How should I approach them to consider this latest IRCC letter and the addresses given on this letter?
They have given me another 60 days time so I have time. Should I courier this letter to them or call them or email them? What do you advise?

Thanks in advance.

@shashibhushan86 The HK Police website says the fingerprint has to be obtained from Law Enforcement Agency/Consulate, did you get it from local police/consulate? You mentioned earlier in this post you use a canadianfingerprint agency, which seems to be a 3rd party vendor, does HK police accept this fingerprint in the end?

Another two related questions are:
  1. How did you know HK police has sent out your HK PCC to IRCC? Did they give you a reference number after they send out to IRCC? Or do you have to call them to get that info?
  2. After sending out your HK PCC request to HK police, what document to upload in MyCIC account to reply back to IRCC for this HK PCC request?
I have received my ITA this month and about to submit my application soon, and will need a HK PCC later too.

Thanks in advance for your time and reply! Really appreciate your help from bottom of my heart.

@shashibhushan86 hi, thank you so much for your reply! I have been able to connect with Jatin on WhatsApp and we created a group chat with a few other folks as well.

Did you also apply from outside HK? In that case, what if the fingerprint you mail to HKPF is rejected for quality reason? Does this happen often? I'm so worried about non-legible fingerprint getting rejected.

Hi @NicoHughes:

Its great to see you getting some help there. You can always contact me as well if you need any specific information.

I applied from Toronto, Canada only. I moved out of Canada in March 2020 and came to HK.
My HK PCC was received by IRCC before I left Canada.

To your point of validity of fingerprints:
If you are applying from Toronto, I would advise you to get your fingerprinting done in advance and once you receive the demand letter from IRCC then send the application asap to HK. Their processing time is 4 weeks.
If you are not sure where to get your finger printing done then below is the agency i got it done from:
Canadian Fingerprints
2 college street unit 208, Toronto, ON M5G 1K3
Ph: 416 625 6104
https://www.canadianfingerprints.com

Please check online if they offer the HK PCC application fingerprinting services and also call them and ask.
Also, if they are authorized to process the HK PCC fingerprinting, they will stamp your fingerprint form (Which you will receive).
I tried uploading the screenshot of their Chop that I received but seems like we cannot upload a pic here.

Why I mentioned that is because once they certify, it should be good for the HK police. I did not face any problem when I applied so I would assume that it mostly there are no issues if you get it done from an authorized agency.

I would say please dont worry about that. IRCC folks are very helpful. Even if you face any issues, let them know and you can ask for for time.
The only caution I would ask you to take is, please always keep IRCC informed about the steps you are taking and the status your process is in. Keep following up with HK police. If there is any issue with fingerprints, the sooner you know the better.

The HK PCC process is so opaque we do not get to know what is going on hence keep authorities informed and you should be good. Always communicate with IRCC via web forms (calls are only for emergency purpose) so that you have a written trail of messages that you informed them.

I wish you all the best. You will get it I am sure :)

Thanks & Regards,
Shashi Bhushan

Hi All,

I also require the PCC from the HK police for immigration purposes and have been urgently looking for some information on the process from others who have had received PCC (No criminal conviction certificate) from the HK police.

I followed this discussion thread and that cleared a lot of doubts -- thanks a lot to the members for sharing detailed steps and experience which is very much helpful for the newbies as I can understand the entire process is quite a black box.

I have some more queries and thus wanted to give a brief of my scenario:

I have applied for the HK PCC from overseas through registered mail.

I have mailed all the required documents to the HK police as instructed in the HK Govt's site.
Also, I could see through the postal tracking system that my documents have been successfully delivered to the address mentioned in the HK police's site.

However, it's been more than a month I have not received any response from them, neither there is any acknowledgement from the HK police that they have received my documents.

I have tried contacting the concerned department through all the contact information available online but without any luck!

My visa processing could not be started because of this and I am running out of time.

I thus wanted to request information on the following :
1. If anyone of you have successfully received PCC from the HK police while applying from outside HK?
2. How long does it take to receive the PCC?
3. Whom to contact to get the update on my application?
4. Is the information received on the PCC correct? (I am bit worried about this point as I have read in few China related forums that getting PCC is very difficult and even if you are lucky to get one, sometimes the information provided in the PCC is not correct).
5. Whom to contact in case of any dispute?

Your experience/ suggestion would be of immense help at this point.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Welcome to the thread.
I applied via mail and got my HK PCC.
I tried to answer your questions below to the best of my knowledge.
1. If anyone of you have successfully received PCC from the HK police while applying from outside HK?
Ans: Yes

2. How long does it take to receive the PCC?
Ans: I got mine in 1.5 month (almost 6 weeks)

3. Whom to contact to get the update on my application?
Ans: keep calling HK police. They will eventually pick up the call and provide you update. Specifically ask for the reference number of your CNCC application. You should also get a hard copy of the receipt having reference number on your current address however I heard that now a days its taking almost 3 months to receive that since HK police sends it via ordinary mail. HK police is swamped with HK CNCC applications (I have seen it personally as I submitted applications for my friends in person). It would be a good idea to also drop an email enquiry to HK police to keep a record that you followed up. You can use this email as a proof for IRCC that you did your best. I know a friend whose PCC requirements were waived off (and he got PR) because he proved he tried his best to get the PCC and could not get it.

4. Is the information received on the PCC correct? (I am bit worried about this point as I have read in few China related forums that getting PCC is very difficult and even if you are lucky to get one, sometimes the information provided in the PCC is not correct).
Ans: I don't think its true. HK Police is very professional and they would not spoil your PCC records. Later you can apply for detailed GCMS notes and get the scanned copy of your HK PCC and see for yourself.

5. Whom to contact in case of any dispute?
Ans: I do not know about this. I guess HK Police complaints section.

I would say please dont worry you will eventually get it. Just keep the communications (preferably written) handy and keep IRCC informed that its taking time. IRCC will provide you more time.
Best of luck :)

Hey,
I am going through the same process. Im in Vancouver right now, i have been told to obtain a police clearance from hong kong. Is IRCC going to issue the letter by themselves or do I have to request it? And also about the fingerprints, i called the police station they said they can’t do ink fingerprints cause of covid and they only do electronic which are sent to Ottawa for canadian police check. Can i go to a RCMP accredited commissionaire for fingerprints?
Looking forward to hear back
