Hello,

I applied for my parents sponsorship in 2019

Country: Bangladesh
Applied: May 28, 2019
Aor 1 and sponsorship approval: September 8, 2019
Biometric request: November 26,2019
Aor 2: December 20,2019
Medical request: Jan 2,2020
Police clearance request: Jan 9,2020
Medical approved: Jan 29,2019

Since then no update, I followed up with singapore visa office twice, everytime they said it's in the queue, as the Medical was done in Jan 2020, in Jan 2021 gckey got updated from "medical passed" to "you do not need medical, we'll contact if this changes". I again followed up with singapore visa office, there response was the same, at this time you don't need to redo medical, we'll let you know later. But still no update.
I have also gotten gcms notes that doesn't have anything special or any update since jan 2020. The file is literally on halt since 2020 Jan.

I am worried what's going on, what does this mean that it says no Medical is required when they have already passed it, is it because it's expired? Is anyone facing similar situation?

Wish we could all gather and sue CIC. Everyone has a job to do even during COVID, and they’re using it as a convenient excuse to delay our applications. Can you tell your boss that because of COVID you‘re going to work in 50% capacity only? No. If you don’t gey COVID and you come to work, you should perform as well as there was no COVID. And CIC as part of Canadian government, should be working for the people, but turns out we’re begging for results from them, and we don’t even know if they’re working.

This is very very frustrating, and I really shit out of luck got my case assigned to CPC-M

Many of us want to embrace our parents here in Canada, and I also saw some of the applicants had lost their parent(s) while application was still undergoing. To CIC it’s just numbers numbers numbers, but those numbers are real people“s hope and expectation.

Background:
My parent's application reached IRCC on June 10, 2019. SA approval was done in Oct 2019. PCC and Medicals were done but have now expired. PA status is 'in-progress' from Jan 2020.

Question:
My second child will be born in a couple of days. This changes the number of family members. There is no issue with income requirement, it is still well above the limit. But should I still inform IRCC about addition of family member?

you are required to inform IRCC about the birth of your child. You can provide them with this update via webform and can attach a birth certificate as proof.

Can someone please answer to my original question? Many thanks for your feedback.

I have not seen any movement with my father's application applied in 2019. I received the AOR in December 2019 as "Application Received". I have not seen any further communication for this application. As per ecas update The application was received on June 26, 2019. Do we have anyone else in a similar situation? Is there a number I can call and enquire about the status? I know the processing is slow but I just want to make sure my application is not stuck.

Thank you for your inputs.
Thanks, Raj
I am in the same boat as you. Application received June 27th 2019. Got AOR in September 2020 and file remains at "Application Received" status. Failing to understand how there can be no movement at all in our files and yet they have already started processing 2020 applications.

Thanks for letting me know! New to this thread.

If they extend, would they tell me? I mean how would I know if it got extended? Or is it like I have to wait to see if I get PPR or Medical request then I'd know. Thanks again

Any updates from NDVO at all. Our file reached CIC on May 30, 2019 and Medical has been passed since May 14, 2020. No updates after wards at all. I emailed them a couple time and all they replied was that everything is in order and no update required from our end.

Do we know which Application Received Dates are receiving PPR from NDVO.

I have a weird question. Since we paid the fees Ahead of time for everything . My father passed away should I ask for the fees to be refunded for his application?

24th January 2021 - Received an Approval Letter by email from Singapore LVO to check if we are able to travel to Canada by 15th July 2021 (expiry of medical) for landing before issuing PPR.
25th January 2021 - We responded by return email that we already in Canada.
25th January 2021 - Singapore LVO replied they have communicated with IRCC Vancouver and we are ready for landing. No PPR so I assume COPR will be issued once we receive any communication from IRCC Vancouver.

for those that received an automatic extension, it showed up on their GCKey account with updated medical pass date. And for repeat medical request, they received a letter, similar to the initial medical request.

I'm sorry to hear that, yes definitely you can ask for refund for Right if permanent resident fees.
