For those who have not got their copr yet, we have to take action right now. I have already sent several complain about the backlog of AoR from Jan to April. I know someone who is oct AOR get their COPR today. We have almost identical profiles and we are both CEC- inland. Clearly if we don't do something, IRCC will keep processing the new file, and God knows how long we have to wait. They are keep inviting people and our files will keep pushing behind by the new files!!!
I have sent mail to the IRCC minister..my local MP...with no help at all. Last option that i can see is to update the Prime Minister with a webform...it is there on the website and we can choose the heading as Immigration matter...lets try that and hope to get a response.

Oh I didn't know that. I will definitely try that option. I mean this whole process is getting rediculous. Enough is enough, we have to let them hear our voice.

Hi @legalfalcon Sir,

Is there any way to raise concern that our CEC Inland applications are pending from March and April where us officers are approving the Aug /Sep AORs..
Most of our applications are pending for Criminality (due to Biometrics). We have already submitted our Biometrics from last three months but they are not opening our files.

Can you please advise. Thanks In advance...
After your submit your biometrics, they have to be processed by RCMP. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/corporate-initiatives/biometrics/process-steps-2018.html

If RCMP has not processed them, you will see them as pending.

Step 1: Providing biometrics
By the end of 2018, all foreign nationals applying for a visitor visa, a work or study permit (except U.S. nationals), or permanent residence as well as all asylum seekers and refugee claimants will need to give their fingerprints and have their photo taken in addition to the personal information currently required.

Step 2: Applicant data transmission
Digital fingerprints will be sent electronically to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP); the photograph will be electronically stored in a database at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC); and the personal information will be automatically entered into IRCC’s case-processing system. Files will be encrypted, transmitted and stored through secure means.

Step 3: Fingerprint check
The RCMP will check fingerprints against criminal, refugee claimant, deportee and temporary resident application records.

Step 4: Final decision
If the RCMP finds no adverse information concerning the applicant, the case officer will be notified electronically and will complete the processing of the application. Adverse or ambiguous information from the RCMP will be analysed by a central assessment unit managed by IRCC before being passed on to the migration officer for a final decision. After the final decision, the applicant’s personal information and photograph will be sent to the Canada Border Services Agency’s (CBSA) case-processing system.

Step 5: Identity verification
When a traveller or immigrant arrives at a Canadian port of entry (POE), the CBSA will verify that he/she is the same person to whom the visa or permit was issued. The photo taken abroad will be available for the border officer to visually compare with the person who appears at the POE.

At the major airports, fingerprints will be verified automatically at a primary inspection kiosk. At the additional airports and land ports of entry, discretionary fingerprint checks will be conducted by a border services officer upon referral to secondary inspection. In both instances, the traveller’s identity will be checked to make sure that the person who wants to enter Canada is the same person who was approved overseas.

please advise @legalfalcon sir.

I have the same case, I'm biometrics exempted and the criminality is pending since Oct 14th, the rest are passed. Every time I call the IRCC agent, they say it is still in progress. There are two groups in my GCMS notes. One this the down below & the other is PRBIO. Please advise, should we do anything from our end? My file is not touched since June. Thank you, sir!

If your criminality is pending and you have provided the biometrics or were exempt, then the Delay is at he end of RCMP. Unless a response from RCMP is in, it will continue to show as pending.

Also, in some cases even if your RCMP report is in, and has not yet been updated, it will show as pending.

@legalfalcon
I called ircc today. They told me that my file is in Etobicoke office for final step. 2 months ago was also same. Can I call Etobicoke office to confirm about my file status.
You can, but it won't be of much help. IRCC is currently experiencing significant delays and you will just have to wait your turn.

Thank you @legalfalcon Sir...Almost all of us have submitted Biometrics before November. But after that no action has been taken by IRCC officer. Is there any to know quickly where the file is stuck.(other than GCMS) Or how to send reminder/request to officer for this delay ? Please advise us.. Thanks...

You can send webform to know the status of your application.

To decipher what the response means, see https://bit.ly/3ohral3

Also, you can call IRCC and ask, and then the old fashioned most reliable way is GCMS.

There is no way to expedite the process though. Currently all streams are experiencing delays. As per IRCC, only CEC is being processed in full capacity.

Thank you @legalfalcon sir. I understand your words. When I called IRCC, the agent told me that the officer has to validate the biometrics and make a final decision. Also, in the gcms notes I received: Please check the bolded lines, does that mean my RCMP values are updated? if so, what is pending based on this?

Thank you, Sir.
As per the notes, RCMP has reverted back with NRT, and now the officer has to update your criminality based on it. RCMP only provides inputs, the final decision is made by the officer who has the carriage of your file.

50 points for the job offer? If you leave, you will lose the job offer since it’s tied to your employer, right? You have to inform IRCC (as stated in your AOR letter) that you no longer have a job offer.

I think so, it’s better to safe than sorry. If you’re employer is aware that you used the LMIA for your PR, they can tell IRCC that you no longer work for them or IRCC May contact your employer to confirm the job offer.
