Hello fellow members,

I had a few questions, would be great if someone could help clarify these!

- I got the MEP/BIL yesterday. My account shows "Your Action is Required". I assume this is because biometrics are pending?

- It says your biometrics are required to process your application. Does this mean that my application is on hold until I get my biometrics done or will other aspects of the process continue while biometrics is pending? Because I still have to book the biometric appointment and the closest date is 2 months away.

Thank you for your time
Hello,

Where are you from?
I tried to book at nearby places but dint find any. so I have booked an appointment in newyork this week. Its a VFS office.
Check VFS offices since they have appointment vacancies.

Living in the UAE, its a VFS office here as well. The nearest appointment dates are available on March.

Biometrics update has no update yet. I did a capture in 2018 as part of a previous PR application.
Status bar shows 23%

Any idea how long it’d take to verify and have my biometrics updated?

Hi, I received my BIL on 19th Jan 2021. It states I have 90 days to submit my biometrics but VFS centres for biometrics collection in my country are only giving appointments for Study Visa and Family Visa.
So, until I submit my biometrics, is my file on hold or are they processing it side by side ?
What if VFS centre do not give appointment until 90 days, what then ?

nothing, you can give bios whenever the VACs open. some parts of your file continue, some pause

Since I have applied through a lawyer, I am unable to see my status because the lawyer has applied from his account as he does for all the applications.
However, I have called customer care and found out that my background check is in the process which means I have passed Medicals and Bio-metrics stage.

Note: My lawyer does not give any minor updates, if there is anything major then he updates us.

Hi Folks, I have called the CIC customer care to check on the application to see where my application is standing, so they told me that my visa office is Sydney, NS (CIO), Criminality, and Security are passed. Currently, they are checking my eligibility and employment.

That is doesn’t make any sense. Security starts only when Eligibility is passed. @legalfalcon please comment.

HI, I'm the primary applicant and currently pregnant. I had submitted my medicals except the x-ray with my e-APR. My spouse is the accompanying applicant. Today my husband received his BIL letter. Will I only get the BIL after I submit my x-ray and pass the medicals? Anyone has any idea? @legalfalcon ?
