I think the risk will be on the destination, will they be allowed to enter canada even post march 18, though we hear cases that some post 18 copr holders landed in canada with no issues

I've not heard of a single COPR case being returned . If airport lets you fly you are through

Recently I hear two passengers were returned back at the Montreal airport but Toronto and Vancouver allow border crossing as I heard many cases.

It seems they are only contacting the expired COPR which were issued before 18th March 2020. I have not heard any news for post March 18 applicant expired COPR. What`s your COPR validity? Your medical is expiring around mid feb , right ?

Yeah feb 18, but my COPR will be expiring on January 23, 2021.

Just 2 days left. It`s sad that we can`t do anything. They extend the medical for some applicant. Hope they will extend your medical for couple of months.

As you might have seen travel restriction has been extended for another month until feb 21st it maybe best if you explore your options to get your validity extended.

What option do we have ? Can we do re-med before it expires and request them to extend COPR validity ? or should we have to wait till med expires then do re-med ? I am also in almost similar situation. Mine is expiring on March.

Your case is not as bad since you have time till March. Hopefully this is the last of travel ban.
I have read cases where they automatically extended validity / request for re-med for extension. So it comes to them how they handle these cases.
