My agent wrote raised an email web form saying I can’t travel to Canada with in the previous visa period they have given and I asked for an extension. Then they asked me to return my Passports and COPR docs back and nearly about after one month they issued new visa counterfoil and COPR docs. No I didnt have to do medical test again.

  • You are ready, willing, and able to travel before the current expiry date of your medical exams, in your case, April 11, 2021. This validity may not be further extended, without you re-doing all immigration medical exam(s) and covering the cost for them.
  • You are ready, willing, and able to travel to Canada on a valid passport by April 11, 2021.
  • There are no COVID-19 restrictions to prevent you from leaving your country.
  • There is a travel route with zero or one transfer that you can use to get to Canada and that is currently operating.
  • Your plan is to stay in Canada permanently.
  • You are able to arrange and cover the costs to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in Canada.

Please note that if new travel documents are issued to you, IRCC will send you a letter that will be valid for up to 60 days (but not exceeding your medical or passport validity), and it may not be possible for IRCC to issue you with another extension.

IRCC will endeavour to respond to you within four weeks.

Please respond to the email.. change date of landing if you are not comfortable..

I got the email too.

The email is not clear and says - (If you answer “no”, it may not be possible to provide you with any options for travel to Canada in the foreseeable future due to the current travel restrictions.)

I considered not responding to be the same as "no"

Did you also have to submit your old copr? Does your new copr mention that your applicaton was approved before 18th march ot any mention of your expired copr?

Same here, no change. Even the acknowledgement of the RTT have stopped :)

Any advice on whether I should apply for the GCMS notes? Single applicant, COPR approved before March'18, Expired Jul 06.2020, Several RTT raised no reply other than generic acknowledgement.

Medical were done Aug 29.2019.
Wondering if they gonna pull me on through till Feb and leave me only after I give a re-med

same here, the last form i raised never got a reply. I wonder if single applicants are last priority.

My previous (old) COPR was issued in oct 2020 and my visa validity was only until Feb 2021. Due to the current situation I asked my agent to raise an email web form mentioning its little difficult to travel before 2021 Feb. I wrote a letter explaining the reasons and asked for an extension and my agent attached the letter in the email webform. So that after two weeks they asked to submit my pp back to visa office to cancel and re-issue new COPR which I received couple of days ago.
I don’t think I’m allowed to travel as both my COPR were issued after 18th March 2020. but my new visa is valid until Oct 2020. I hope things will get better by then and hopefully I’ll be able to travel.
My medical was done in Feb 2019 @Titanium
