Don’t worry apply for BOWP. If you get your PR before final decision on BOWP you will get fee back. And BOWP will take at least 90days
It does not have to be true... they would refund just part of the money in case that they would touch the application

Seems like a lot of cases have been approved - not sure what the delay in rolling out the email is.
My case was approved on Dec 08, 2020, and they told me that they are doing the paperwork for COPR. I am still waiting for an email or a call. It seems like they are doing it in batches.

How do you know it was approved yesterday? Were you told on a call or from GCMS? I don’t know where to look for the date my application was approved in GCMS notes. Kindly let me know. Thanks.

Look for the Officer notes at the end of your GCMS notes. It should look something like **OFFICER REVIEW**. As for my case, I called them on Monday after I got a ghost update last week and I was told I passed all the stages, but I did not ask about the visa office. So, I called them again on Tuesday only to be told my application was approved on the same day and that they are working on my COPR paperwork. I was also told it's been handled by the IRCC Etobicoke office now after being transferred from CPC Ottawa. It makes perfect sense as local visa offices issue COPRs. There are people who see this final decision on the portal but wait for up to 7-10 days before they a COPR email. Maybe, they will ask us to use the portal so we can get our PR cards faster.

Either way, I am relieved the process is over. I wouldn't mind if I get my COPR letter 7-10 days later as long as my application stays approved. LOL.

Thanks man - appreciate it. According to the notes, my file is ready for visa at the Vancouver office. When I spoke with a very nice agent back in November, she mentioned everything was passed and that I should wait for the email. Appears to be admin delay in sending confirmation emails. Good luck!

You are welcome. You can try sending that visa office an email to see if they can do something for you. It's definitely odd for an inland candidate to wait this long to get COPR after the final approval.

The case processing agent only makes a recommendation, this will have to be reviewed by an officer who will make a final determination. Once you have recommended passed, you need not worry, as in most cases the officer will go ahead and make a final determination based on the notes and the recommendation of an analyst or agent.

Your GCMS notes will have another note entered by an officer after the officer has reviewed the note and made a decision.

To read and see how the note will look like, you can read my previous post on this available at #2,521
Thankyou !! Helps a lot! Hopefully will receive my gcms on or soon after 25th dec and don't have to wait a lot due to holidays.
