IMPORTANT UPDATE: RE-MEDICALS REQUEST

Many of applicants who received 4 pointers email on October 02, have received re-medicals request today from RR team.

Please check your email inbox, and see if you have also received the same.
Hi,
We received the mail today (COPR expiry : May 1, 4 pointer : Oct 2). However the mail did not specifically mention 'remedical request', instead it mentioned that our medicals have expired and our application will be on hold till the eligibility is met.
@13nitinsharma : Is this the same mail that you have mentioned or is it a mail specifically instructing to do medicals again ? Thanks is advance

Yup, received it!
Hi,
Was there specific instructions to do re-medicals ? We too received the mail today, however it mentioned that our medicals expired and our application will be on hold till we meet the eligibility criteria. Not sure, if we should proceed with re-medicals or wait for clear instructions.
Thanks

Did anyone with New Delhi Visa Office report medicals updated in GCKey?
Received this yesterday and that’s pretty much it.. completed my re-medicals on Nov 12th!

Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
We are pleased to confirm reception of the document(s).
We have forwarded them to the responsible office for their consideration.
Furthermore, we verified the information you provided and can confirm that the application is still in process.
Due to the ongoing situation related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), some IRCC offices are currently operating with reduced or critical staff only.
We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however, processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 is not reflected accurately on our website. We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize the application as soon as possible.
Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.
Furthermore, please note that there are two ways you can check your application status online. You can verify the status of your application:
Submitted by mail (if it was not linked to an online account):
by using the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) online tool, which is updated daily.
Submitted online or submitted by mail and linked to an online account:
through your online account.
We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

This is the remedical request from NDVO and it seems that they are sending notifications only. Do the remeds sooner than later and upload the medical infosheet provided by hospital in the webform. As email clearly mentions that upload the new information using webforms. I would wait till Friday to see if NDVO will issue IMME letter (which I am not expecting them to do it based on previous remeds emails) and if not then this email is the proof that IRCC has asked for remeds if hospital asks about it.

NDVO is not going to issue you specific IMME letter. Go ahead with your medicals. I completed the very next day; uploaded the same using webform and received the response in the mid of third week. Meanwhile, two weeks later from the day I did medicals, I raised another webform submitting the information along with emails to RROC team and Delhi immigration. Still, there is no update in my portal regarding the new medicals being passed. I guess NDVO works differently.

So are you suggesting we do Re-meds upfront?

May i know which country you are currently?

Also, did you have remedicals?

When did you raise your webforms?

This is good news, congratulations! i think you will receive AL soon.
May I ask, what date is your proposed travel to Canada as you stated in your RTT?

I just wonder because they only gave you 5 days leeway to travel.
I said I was ready to leave immediately, did not mention dates. But I attached my Air canada voucher and said I can book my flights anytime.

I get that folks are upset, but people saying that border shutdowns won't help in curbing the spread of COVID need only look to New Zealand and how their early border closures (combined with effective comms and compliance) led to them being COVID free quicker than almost every other country on the planet. You can look to Vietnam and Taiwan as other case studies.

Yes it sucks that immigration took a almighty hit as a result of the global pandemic, especially for those who have PR application in progress, but if the Canadian community can't be trusted to help curb the internal spread of the virus, then how the hell would any developed nation put faith in those coming from outside the bubble to do the same (with certain exceptions)
New Zealand is 'covid-free' because of their domestic containment efforts. All countries bubbled up, but they're not all covid free.
