They did though. There are LOTS of outland applicants who have passed all stages of their applications and are RFV, but aren’t being issued COPRs, primarily due to travel restrictions. Didn’t some on here start a petiton (as small a sample size as this forum is?)
They are still receiving it and they can not travel. One of my known got his ITA in 3 weeks in July in Australia. IRCC can seriously use all these resource for expired COPRs instead of processing these ones.

Hi guys

My Copr expired 5 September, I raised 2 Web forms ready to travel and now I can see it was extended to 31 January. Visa office Ottawa.

Besides this do we need to wait for other documents such as Al? Passports no need to be submitted?

Thanks.

Well I am optimistic to say that Canada's House of commons has parties who treat each other with mutual respect. If you have watched the whole panel discussion you'll see how the discussion went .I found it amusing because
i rarely see parties not calling each other names while discussing.
Wow, thats surprising (and good) to hear. Do you think the discussion is available online that you know?

Not arguing on this topic but why are we still seeing cases surge in Canada. We have always trusted Canadian Govt but keeping their mouth shut on immigration(one of the main revenue generating ministry) does not show that they care about expired COPRs.
Borders are fully open for the country who has most no of covid cases. I know rules are different for US but at least do something for expired COPRs. They are without jobs living up on savings since 8 months.

Also policing in Taiwan and Vietnam are very different from Canada. You can easily get a beating if you not follow the rules.

Border closures are fine but think about the backlogs, clear it first then move forward. What is the point of declaring that thy want 1.2 m in next 3 years when they are not helping immigrants stuck because of this virus.
Yup, by keeping borders open for US based COPR holders, the logic that it's about COVID doesn't make sense...

Plus the fact that they have increased ITAs these days, 5000 compared to 3900 pre-COVID with an already piled up heap of expired/expiring COPRs...

Illogical, but maybe the priority is only about getting money in.

I'm not complaining, just analyzing, its totally their choice how to handle the COVID situation and immigration system. We can either opt in/out.

I get that folks are upset, but people saying that border shutdowns won't help in curbing the spread of COVID need only look to New Zealand and how their early border closures (combined with effective comms and compliance) led to them being COVID free quicker than almost every other country on the planet. You can look to Vietnam and Taiwan as other case studies.

Yes it sucks that immigration took a almighty hit as a result of the global pandemic, especially for those who have PR application in progress, but if the Canadian community can't be trusted to help curb the internal spread of the virus, then how the hell would any developed nation put faith in those coming from outside the bubble to do the same (with certain exceptions)
You're talking rubbish, mate. There is no border shutdown. The border closure doesn't make any sense when CBSA is allowing people to enter Canada from the U.S- the country with the most affected population on earth. Why should people be allowed to simply drive on the Ambassador Bridge and cross the border but not fly from Heathrow to Toronto Pearson in an airplane? You mean to say the British are more contagious than the Americans? Moreover, what are you talking about when you say trust? Governing a country is not based on trust; it's based on law and order. People who break the quarantine will be prosecuted, fined, and/or sentenced to prison. Your argument would be valid if the Canadian border was closed to all.

Absolutely correct!!!
Moreover Canadian citizens and PRs are allowed to roam freely in the world without any regulations. I believe they do not carry virus and already immune.

May i know which country you are currently?

Also, did you have remedicals?

When did you raise your webforms?

This is good news, congratulations! i think you will receive AL soon.

No remedicals, no 4 pointer mail. But I sent to them detailed plan with webform

May I ask, what date is your proposed travel to Canada as you stated in your RTT?

I just wonder because they only gave you 5 days leeway to travel.

Hi everyone.

I'm writing this post, hoping it will lift your spirits and you keep your patience running

*Long post alert*

They stopped for a long time. But it started back from Nov 7th. I myself got a PPR and a COPR with an eventual expiry of April 30th 2021. And they are still issuing those now. Makes me think they plan to add exemptions for valid copr holders at some point otherwise its just adding peoplle in line to get to expired coprs.
