Congrats :)!

I believe you can travel even now as your case fits in the below criteria :

Source: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/travel-restrictions-exemptions.html
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Travellers coming from outside the US who are exempt from the travel restrictions

Still it's better to inform IRCC about your travelling plans and get confirmation from them before boarding the flight.
Thanks but these "some people" are those who got corp before march 2019. I have looked into it. Currently I am not exempted but in future months I maybe. dont know when...

Oh! I didn't know about the criteria. Also, as per latest news, Canada extended travel restrictions till January 2021 so let's wait and watch :)

This is so sad. It seems they don't care about FSW applicants. Only inland applicants are being issued PPRs.
Based on GCMS notes, mine was approved in March 2020. The long wait is so frustrating

So, I also sent the docs via Fedex. Did you get any acknowledgement email etc. from CIC that they received your docs?
Also, are you aware how long do they take to return the passports along with COPR docs?

Thanks..
It happened fast.. I got the confirmation of delivery from Fedex the next day - in another couple of days, I received an email from CIC about the update in the system, the CIC portal shows "Approved".. and then received a return tracker update today. Hoping to receive the passports tomorrow. So, end to end is around 10 days.

Ya exactly. There are so many people who are banking on the approval. Some already have Canadian job offers, some are postponing their weddings for this. People can't think of changing their jobs hoping that the golden mail is around the corner. And here we see IRCC inviting 5K new applications in each draw w/o clearing the backlog. This is just insane.

I'm hearing from a lot of people that they're purposely trying to deplete people's resources, knowing well that majority of people don't have jobs due to COVID. So they can get an excuse to deny entry due to insufficient funds. That way they can keep the applicants' fee and justify their actions.
Don't know if it's true or not but I'm seeing this a lot on Twitter and Whatsapp groups.
That's horrible if it's true. But the thing is, their true benefit lies in approving people's PPRs as in turn these people will spend the money they bring into Canada and thus contributing to the economy. Can't say what's true or false unless we have some robust backing to such claims.

I got an email yesterday with their usual statement "You may not have heard from us in a little while. This is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date. "
Last I got the same email in June 2020.
But I could not log into my account due to the infamous looping issue the IRCC website has sometimes. First, it's a bad gateway error while you try to log into your account, and afterward, it just keeps sending you back to their home page. The Twitter handle asks people to clear their cache and try, but that doesn't work either. Last time the same issue got fixed for me when I tried logging in with HTTPS rather than HTTP. This time even that's not working.

Anyone else in the same boat? My medicals have already expired too, but I haven't got an email to get it done again.

Update:
I cleared cache again and tried now in google chrome and was able to log in and access my account. Guess it's fixed.
