Hi everyone, we’d appreciate your insights.

My spouse and I currently hold valid Canadian work permits. While reviewing our previous applications and preparing documents for PR, we discovered discrepancies in some forms and letters of explanation previously submitted to IRCC. These include:

  • Answering “No” to a question about previous refusals despite an unsuccessful Singapore PR application.
  • Incorrect dates and incomplete information in our employment histories.
The affected study/work permit applications have already been approved. We have not yet submitted our federal PR application and are currently waiting for an ITA.

We are checking our records to establish the correct information and gather supporting documents. We intend to disclose the discrepancies and provide accurate information in our PR application.

Our question is whether to send a voluntary correction through the IRCC webform now, referencing the approved applications, or include the explanation and evidence with our future PR application after receiving an ITA.

We’d appreciate firsthand experiences, particularly involving corrections to already approved applications. Thank you.
