Hi everyone, ECAS changed both the sponsor and principal's status to DM today! I was not able to login to IRCC because their website was down.
I saw some people were asked to send pictures to them.
Could anyone tell me that when do I need to send pictures? Also, do we need to send passports to them as well?

For those who are still waiting, I remember I sent a webform question to IRCC asking them where my application status is because it has been almost pass the one year benchmark last Friday. Then I received updates the next business day. Not sure if it's because of the webform I sent. Maybe you guys can try it out.
You are not required to send them your passport.
Within a week, you will receive the copr letter via email from your local ircc office telling you what to do next, and the mailing address for you to send your pr card photo. The requirement of the photo will be shown in the letter.
Congrats again ;) !

How long does it usually take to get COPR after application is complete?
I thought you have gotten your corp already? Some people got their corp within one week after DM. Some takes longer.
ECAS shows DM for me and my husband, but IRCC website is still showing processing.
I'm waiting for corp as well haha

I haven’t gotten COPR, ECAS shows complete and that I’m a PR however my rep hasn’t received the documents yet but she said it shows 100% complete and approved on her portal as well.

They asked for it and I gave it to them with my application. They also asked for a Canadian one and provided that too. They're still processing my background check and nothing has changed on my application. It's just really concerning when people are on here posting that they've been approved and got their sin already when they submitted 3 weeks after I did. I don't know what's going on, I submitted Nov 7 and it's coming up on a year now.
They asked for a criminal record check from us as well at the end of August. We provided it and they received it a while ago but it still says ‘we are processing’ on our application also. The only emails we received from them since the AOR have been the criminal record check and the medical request, amd then we each got an email on Oct 3 with my Sponsor Approval and his Letter of Eligibility. We are Nov 18 applicants I’ve been just waiting it out, assuming we will hear something soon. However, when I click on ‘view submitted application’ the next page has a line saying ‘police record check’ and says it is overdue. It’s a little concerning but because of the fact that we didn’t receive an email requesting a local police record check, (like we did with the criminal record check from home country and medical request) and also we are applying from within Canada (in the Guide it says you don’t need a police check if you are applying from within Canada). I’m trying not to freak out. If I don’t hear something soon I’ll try to call but I do t think that all of the November applicants have heard yet so that makes me feel better.

Hi friends. A quick question.
My application got approved on October 29. I got my own and SIN number on May. Is it a temporary sin?. Should I apply for a new one now???

You’ll get a new sin starting with digit 6...... which will work as a proof of Permanent Residence until your PR card comes

If your SIN starts with a 9 it is a temporary SIN number for foreign students/workers. You will need to go to a Service Canada office and get a new SIN number. Don't forget to bring your old SIN number, your COPR letter (or PR card if you have it) plus some form of ID.

You might also be able to request a new SIN number via mail but I think that takes quite a long time. I was lucky enough that our local Service Canada office is open again.

Anyone else still waiting for their background check to be completed?

Submitted Nov 7
AOR January 7
Medical submitted September 15

Haven't heard a word since. Getting worried since people on here already got their SIN and approval letter.
