Whilst any non-Indian national responds, I just wanted to reflect something.

In pure jest: Why does it feel like those who firmly wish to travel and have done all they can to ask IRCC as such - are NOT getting the go signal!

Whilst those who are less inclined to travel at this time are getting these next step emails!

Hilarious! lol
Exactly ! The much used 'Ready to Travel' webform seems to be amounting to nothing. I would have thought that the ones submitting those webforms would be the ones that would be given a priority since those are the people who want to travel right away.

Received an email in response to the webform that ive sent. I raised a webform to make a follow up with my request to extend my family's copr and to get my copr validated (PA in canada).Ircc said they forwarded my request to responsible office..new delhi offic. Is that right? My visa office is manila and they forwarded it to ndvo? I quess ndvo is not only handling cases under their jusrisdiction...they are also handling expired copr regardless of your original visa office then.

In pure speculation: IRCC can pretend that they've cleared more case logs by pursuing the people who DON'T wish to travel than those who do?

Hello Everyone, any help/suggestions would be great.

My COPR was approved on 19th March 2020. I am an Indian passport holder currently living in New Zealand. My VO is Sydney, Australia. I also received the email as below where they are asking me to respond with 10 days and come to canada in 2 months. I have 2 questions.
- Is is mandatory for me to go within 2 months? What if I do not respond and plan to go next year when travel restrictions are lifted? Will my file still remain in approved status at that time and I will be easily able to travel?
- My application was approved after 18th March 2020; does this email belongs to me as well? The email mentions applicants whose COPR was approved on or before 18th March 2020.

Application number: E......

UCI: .....

IRCC is contacting you regarding your expired Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR) and Permanent Resident Visa (PRV) (unless you have an eTA) and those of your accompanying dependent family members. Do not attempt to travel without written authorisation.

We are currently reviewing your application as you are a holder of a CoPR and PRV issued on or before March 18, 2020. In order for us to assess your case, we require additional information for you and any accompanying family members included on your application.
Hi, Did you contact them via webform or they just sent you the email?

My VO is also Sydney, Australia. I contacted them late yesterday evening informing them that I wouldn't be able to travel before my COPR expired and they responded this morning.

Covid19 has ruined plans. I had one year COPR validity

And this is in an ideal medical case quarantine. However, the immigrations has mentioned in their website about dos and dont and shared spaces are allowed with few restrictions.For your reference.im pasting it here.

What you can and cannot do during your 14-day quarantine
Prohibited during quarantine:

  • You may not leave your place of quarantine unless it is to seek medical assistance.
  • You may not have any guests even if you are outside and stay two metres apart from them.
Permitted during quarantine:

  • You may use shared spaces, or private outdoor spaces in your place of quarantine provided you:
    • Avoid contact with others who did not travel with you;
    • Disinfect spaces after use;
    • Wear a suitable non-medical mask or face covering if a distance of 2 metres from others residing in your place of quarantine cannot be maintained.
Recommended during quarantine:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and warm water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with your arm when you cough or sneeze.
You will be called from 1-888-336-7735 to verify your compliance during your 14-day quarantine.
Not actually true quarantine which is why it is so puzzling to those of us who have worked in public health or studied public health and those who have family who are immunocompromised Quaranting in an adjacent bedroom that often shares ventilation and where doors open to a highbtraffic hallway used by the whole family can spread the virus. Bedroom with bathroom should really separate or far enough away from where others are staying. On another floor, at the end of a their long hallway, etc. Also doesn't make sense not to ask for covid tests at least 72 hours from boarding flights frok covid hot spots like India, US, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, etc. especially from temporary visitors not PRs or citizens .

My opinion about IRCC and regarding not opening VAC and not issuing COPR extension (past half year now) !!
Unless the rate of covid decreases in India Canadian foreign affairs workers will unlikely be returning to India soon and reopening VFS. Canadian citizens working for the foreign service usually return home if the risk to their health and safety increases and surpasses a certain level. First their families are sent home. The Indian healthcare system is not able to keep up with current demand and there is not enough PPE, not good enough infection control protocols due to lack of supplies and funds, etc.

Technically he is not supposed to do a short landing but yes if he arrives and quarantines he can return to India in 1.5 months based on whar others have been able to do.

Has anyone received this famous 60 day to travel email who is not an Indian national? So far we have one case not depending on an Indian VO (Indian national in NZ).

We really need to figure out if they are pressing people to travel or if they are just inquiring. What are the consequences if one tells IRCC they are still not ready to travel and not planning to do so til next year?
Really seems that the program was not really thought out before being created. They still want minimal people travelling to Canada especially frok hot spots and due to the high unemployment rate it is not a great time to relocate to Canada.

Congratulations on getting a positive response.
I got the same mail a while back. My visa office is NDVO and my COPR was approved on 15th March.

Any idea what they mean by address where you will stay? Do they mean during quarantine or after? If they are asking about post-quarantine, can I say that I'll be staying with a friend while I look for long term accomodation? Or do I need to show a lease?

Also, what type of proofs should we be submitting for employment plans in Canada (location of work, letter from employer) - do you know any examples of what would help us show intention of looking for work if we don't have a job offer in hand?

I know there are places from where we can order groceries online. But for access to medical care and other essentials - what are the options available?

Would really appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on this.

Thank you!

Cheers,
Pavie
Proof of adress in the context you describe would be your friend's home alrhough they also ask about your quarantine plans and quarantine location. Medical care shouldn't be accessed for at least 14 days and really shouldn't be needed unless it is a real emergency and you will need to call 911 and an abulance will come with full PPE. It is only 14 days. Not sure what you realy need other than food and wifi.

Hi peeps!Congrats on 4 pointer mails?Could you pls clarify some thing.Address in my profile is of my consultant who is in Canada Yesterday I called ircc.The agent told me that your address shows that you are already in Canada thats why you have not got any update ? Isn't it ridiculous!!They don't know that I have not landed yet?She advised me to fill the web form mentioning my Indian address.Any one else here who has consultant address of Canada in the profile?Has your file been reopened?
Some of the information or advuce that is given out by the customer service isn't always true. Unless your account shows that you have already landed your applications who continue to be processed. Would actuallu be processed faster if you were in Canada and could do a virtual landing.

Hi Guys,
Received this today from IRCC: Email -IRCC.IN-RROC-CORR-RI.IRCC@cic.gc.ca

IRCC is contacting you regarding your expired Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR) and Permanent Resident Visa (PRV) (unless you have an eTA) and those of your accompanying dependent family members. Do not attempt to travel without written authorisation.

We are currently reviewing your application as you are a holder of a CoPR and PRV issued on or before March 18, 2020. In order for us to assess your case, we require additional information for you and any accompanying family members included on your application.

Please reply to this email by providing the information/documents requested.

Answer the following questions:

1. Are you and any accompanying family members ready to travel to Canada within the next 60 days, to settle and become a permanent resident?

2. Is there any reason preventing you or your accompanying family members from departing your current location to travel to Canada within the next 60 days?

3. Are you able to book a flight to Canada from your current location for yourself and your accompanying family members?

4. Do you have a proposed and feasible travel plan with a single transit point to Canada? (If yes, attach proof such as plane tickets.) If not, are you willing to book and confirm such travel plans as soon as approved?

Attach documents/information to demonstrate the following:

· Proof of your plan to settle and remain in Canada such as;

o address where you will stay,

o lease agreement,

o home ownership document,

o employment plans in Canada (location of work, letter from employer), and

o any other relevant information to demonstrate arrangements for your arrival.

· Proof of an acceptable plan to quarantine for 14 days in Canada, including;

o proof of funds (bank or credit card statements), and

o plan to show how you will obtain groceries, access medical care and other essential services.

=================================

I am from India and with VO NDVO , but I assume this email was sent from Canada as it came around 9pm IST which is outside NDVO working hours
Please see my signature for my application timeline
Will keep posted
Emails are sent using scheduled delivery or in batches for tech reasons so would not base the time with where the enployees is located. Assume the enployee is likely in Canads or at least not in India because very few staff are in India

Congratulations to all the guys getting the 4 pointer emails ! There appears to be some kind of progress in your cases.

Is there anyone that has an expired COPR issued after March 18 that got such an email or an authorization letter(even outside India)? I was hoping that for the expired COPRs, IRCC would not continue with this March 18 fixation that they have been having but it appears that they are sticking to it for all cases. It was fine when they issued the travel restrictions for the first time but in subsequent monthly extensions, they should have at least removed that date clause especially for the expired COPRs. I don't see how a person with an expired COPR issued on March 18 and one issued on March 19 or 20 is any different at this point considering the restrictions have been going on for close to 8 months now.

You're right. I share your sentiments.
