One of attorney emailed me as my query answer that "the Parent and Grandparent Sponsorship program (PGP) is closed and not accepting new applications. Due to the current focus on responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will further delay the opening of the 2020 Parents and Grandparents (PGP) Program". and suggested me "in the interim, I would like to inform you about the Parent and Grandparent “Super Visa”.A Super Visa is a 10 year multiple-entry temporary resident permit that would allow the recipient to visit Canada for up to 2 years per entry". But I am asking about my daughter PR application process. Is his comments right for me? please comments.
They are confused. You need to clarify that you want to sponsor your child who is a minor who was born abroad to PR parents.

Hi Friends,

I need some information, I got my PR with my family in 2017. My wife become landed permanent immigrant in Jan 2018 and went outside Canada in Apr 2018 and we came to know after a month she was pregnant. She had a complicated pregnant and we have a premature baby in December 2018. She visited me without the baby in 2019 for sometime. Baby was premature and she decide to raise the baby a little bit before bringing the child to Canada. She came this year and stayed with me. Because of pandemic we couldn't get baby pics done and other documents ready. We have got everything now.

My question is can I still apply PR for my dependent child born outside Canada using Family Class Sponsorship Or do we need to call CIC and confirm first?
Are there any facts I should consider or take care before processing the application? Also I have completed my required physical stay (more than 1095 days in last 5 years) in Canada and applying the citizenship, I am trying to submit both the dependent child PR and my citizenship together.

Thanks in advance. If anyone has gone through this kind of situation please let me know.

Your child needs to get PR before she/he can get citizenship. Follow the instructions to sponsor a dependent. Although she/he is in Canada there is an outland process. You can remain in Canada during an outland process. Processing takes 5-11 months in good times so expect potential delays due to covid. In most provinces your child does not qualify for healthcare so make sure to buy emergency health coverage although I assume you already purchased some if your child has been in Canada for a while.

No, Baby is outside Canada living with my mother.
Thank you. I have same experience. We got PR at 2017 and stay only 3 months at Canada. Now I am returning but baby stay with her mother outside Canada. There is another issue baby's mother graduate school will start this September. I applied visit visa for baby but it's gone so lengthy day by day and result uncertain. Our PR status also will fall risky after this November 2020.
Thank you. I will seek your help upon my return to Canada for baby's PR aplication if you allow. Plz text me your email address. my email: hasaanselim@gmail.com

Thank you for your time and response. As a landed immigrant we know that we need to enter into Canada having at least 2 years before the expiry date of PR card. Our PR card expire date is 16 November 2022.

Thank you. I am confused. We are landed on 29 September 2017 and return to Bangladesh 11 December 2017. It's sense that our PR already expired. Please comments.

Your PR status doesn't expire. You can lose your PR if you aren't conpliwnt with your RO and you try to return to Canada. You would have a chance to appeal first. Currently you are able to count the first few months in Canada towards your RO. To sponsor your child you must be compliant with your PR so you must apply to sponsor your child in the next months or you’ll need to wait 2 years to qualify again.

Hi Team!
Me an wife are Canada PR holders who did a soft landing in Mar2020 just before the lockdowns and returned to India. Our PR cards have also been issued and rcvd by us. Now, however, we are pregnant and want to deliver the baby in India. We plan on migrating to Canada with the baby in Jan2022 now.
A few Qs-
1. Can we, as Canada PR holders get entry into Canada with our new born (even though the new born does not have a Canada PR/citizen status)?
If yes, then is there a documentation needed for that?
If this is indeed possible, can we sponsor our new born 's PR once we enter Canada in Jan22?
2. If the above case is not possible, then what are the alternatives?
I have gone through the earlier comments on the posts here and am not sure if I understood correctly.... Hence this specific Q... Sry if repeated
