In a few days from now i will undergo a medical exam for my work permit visa application. Im scared but pretty sure that i can get my working visa. Im a chronic hepa B carrier but i know God will help me pass through this. Just sharing.

Im from philippines a hepa b chronic carrier.
Me and my partner is processing a common law application for working permit/permanent residence..

My partner had no idea about my health condition. I had my last lab test yr 2016 with DNA VIRAL of 120 and my ALT/SGPT are within ranger and my liver ultrasound is normal..

Since were planning to go in canada i went back to my doctor in st.lukes hosp to check again my hepa condition..

Do i need to disclose my condition during my medical ?

Im very worried about my condition,i hope and pray that will have a chance to get a visa..

I am applying for AIPP in Canada included in my application is that I can bring with me my family but I have a problem with my husband's medical condition. He is Hepatitis B reactive but his healthy. Is hepatatis b included during medical exam? Is it possible foe him to go with us? Please help me, I badly needed some honest and helpful advice. Thank you and God bless.

As long as all his lab test relating to hepa B are good (SGPT, ALT, viral load, liver ultrasound) that shouldn't be a problem. And it's good to have a medical certificate from a specialist as well. I have chronic hepa B too, my husband has hepa C, both our medicals has passed, our visas were approved. You just have to declare it during medical and do all the required tests. It may be costly, but that's the only thing you should do.

If you don't need treatment in your home your home country you're unlikely to qualify for treatment in Canada.

SGOT ( AST) 9.46 Ref values 10.00-35.00 unit U/L remarks low
SGPT (ALT) 32.88 ref values 8.00-40.00 unit U/L hoping for your advice all..thankyou

To answer your question, Hep B is not a problem to come to Canada. I didnt read the whole thread, but just be honest at your medical exam, let them know about your condition, your treatment ect, don't hide anything. The doctor will have requisition to check your liver function. I passed medical exams for both Study permit and PR step while under medication. As long as your live function is at good standing, don't worry much.

If you have OHIP, or any other provincial health card, check with your family doctor, they will refer you to a specialist.

do you mean you have a hepa b? and you pass the medical? should I need to tell them that I do have a hepa b? about treatment, my doctor said that I dont need any treatment because of low viral load . . .
