Is there a trick to getting to speak to ircc? Tried calling and got the "high volume of calls" message, and then it hangs up, you don't even get to wait on hold.

No trick but you can call back minutes later to get hold of IRCC, my experience though.

I just spoke to the IRCC my OWP received December 13, 2019 & sent out in the mail yesterday Thursday August 6, 2020.

Hi guys, just a quick update to share the news the applications are moving forward. I just received the approval for my OWP.
Inland Common Law Application + OWP
Dec 18, 2019: Application Sent
Dec 20, 2019: Application Received
Feb 18, 2019: AOR
Jun 24, 2020: Biometrics Request Letter (even though we paid in advanced)
August 6, 2020: OWP Approved
August 7, 2020: OWP has been sent to my address.

Hello guys, great news. It looks like they are now approving OWP. My spouse got the approval.
Application Received: Dec 13. AOR: Feb 13. Approved: August 6, 2020.

My OWP was approved, updated online same day/s as yours but received the document on mail on August 5th.
PR +OWP applications received December 30th. I applied for my SIN number online on August 7th

Today I recieved my SIN number in my mail. I just replied my previous message that detailed my application timeline

Did you receive any confirmation email after you applied online for the SIN number confirming they were processing it?

No. I didn't not receive any email except the acknowledgement that show up with your application number immediately after you submit your SIN application. They ask you to secure it just in case your SIN process is delayed, you could use it to inquire.
I applied on August 7th,2020 and got it August 17th, 2020.

Actually October applications started showing moment today. According to the spreadsheet October 3rd applicant got AIP today. IRCC are really try to beat the timeline. I am December 30th, no biometric request yet. But I have already got my OWP, SIN, and processed my G-class drivers licence.

What's your timeline?

I have just linked my OWP to my CIC account. Received 9th of June. The status is 'Pending Registration'. I assume this means they have not even opened it yet?
