Yes, exactly. There are 500,000 international students in Canada right now, most of which are planning to permanently stay in Canada. They pay tuition fees, bring money to Canada and support the economy. I am talking about billions of dollars. These guys are trying to increase their CRS scores. The higher the CRS is, the more international students will come and pay tuition fees. This is their game. They are cheating. I paid a lot of money for this shit, had sleepless nights to prepare my documents genuinely, but guess what? My degrees from top 100 universities are worthless unless I embellish them with an ordinary college degree from Canada. If I pay tuition fees as an international student, all the doors will be opened for me. This is what the IRCC is trying to push everybody. They are not fair.
I understand your point but from a business perspective... isn't that actually smart?

Correct. It has to do with the job market I think. In Canadian work place, Canadian work experience is more important than CRS score. PNP candidates are needed candidates for provinces. Hence by going with PNP/ CEC draws is a good bet and the market won't be crowded with outland immigrants.
Whatever mate. All many of us asking is to reveal IRCC's intentions. Keeping us obsessed on this and IRCC not speculating anything on this (when asked through Twitter or FB) is totally unfair. No one is compelling IRCC to go with the all program draws.
Just a clear cut update of proper resumption of "All program draw" is the need of the hour
I'm sure IRCC is not gonna speculate or whatever if we ask them in twitter
Horrible times man!

they do not want too many outside people in. They can invite some, but not too many. They are not able to handle it if too many people flow into Canada. They will lose the control.
That opinion looks correct if you read the below report.
Globe editorial: Saying ‘no’ to the Blue Jays reveals all the other ways Canada has failed to virus-proof the border - https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/editorials/article-saying-no-to-the-blue-jays-reveals-all-the-other-ways-canada-has/
Meanwhile they are not issuing PPRs or COPRs for months now. Only people who are approved befor March 18th can travel ,which is understandable. But I don't understand why they are keeping the draws at bay, as with current processing pace no one will be able to travel before March 2021.May be system itself is not able to ramp up or change according to need of the hour. Pity!!

That's bad. Immigration is a big money making scheme which people can figure out if observed properly. Spending on Ielts, ECA medical, etc,.. If they announce the next move no one would bother to spend this much money!!

There is that too! It's not about one factor alone.

Guys, are we moving to another FSW Ray of Hope thread to share our disappointment, have crazy optimistic theories and eventually find shoulders to cry on?
Or should we move to the common thread and expose ourselves to people like facethereality and watch CEC vs FSW unfold every day?

@Canada2628 If there is to be a draw next Wednesday, I most likely think it would be FST. An all program draw is unlikely before the end of this month because they have already reached the target for July.

All we can do is wait and hope for an all program draw in the first week of August. I really wish the next one is an all program draw. FSW candidates truly deserve a reasonable chance.

Okay, next draw on August 5.
Brace to see an "All program draw" by then at least
I guess this CEC/PNP might also be related to border closure with US or something
I mean, all these crazy thoughts are lingering in my mind to see what is the exact logic behind inviting CECs and why there was an FSW draw on July alone
Man, mind is completely devastated

I completely understand how you feel. One of the best guesses is that IRCC is alternating between all program draws and program-specific draws. I hope there is an all program draw on 5th August. I feel they would have otherwise not done the draw earlier this month. But the wait has not been easy at all. I hope we all receive our ITAs soon.

To be honest, I signed up for this thread because it said ‘ray of hope’. However, it looks like at this point it is full of negativity and pessimistic observation. I am sitting at 474 with all of my documents prepared. If I don’t get an ITA by end of August, I will be loosing 5 crucial points. I know a lot of you are on the same boat as me, but I am not going to let it sink my hopes. We’ll have to hang in there! There will be a limit to CEC candidates at one point. CIC will have no choice but to hold a FSW draw. We’ve to be prepared for that day.
