Has anyone got pcc initiation mail in the recent past ? How long consulate take to process it after the file reaches to consulate from BLS ? It has been already 4 weeks with BLS and 1 week with CGI, and still my file hasn't reached INDIA for processing. I'm really getting furious and anxious as my clock is ticking

Hi
Once it reaches CGI, you should be receiving an email passport office regarding your initiation of police verification. You should be receiving application number starting with cat *******

***some folks didnt get email, but they were able to see the id updated in CGI PCC form. *** Requires Validation***

Hi.I dont remember filling up such question in PCC application form online when I did in April/May timeframe. The form did ask for address - both India and Canada. Depending on the context of "period of stay” whether India or Canada, you should be able to fill this up?

Hi everyone, I have applied for PCC on June 24th and docs have reached BLS Toronto on June 25th. Till today BLS tracking says "No records found" although, its been 22 days. Could anyone in the group who applied after June 24th, were able to track their application?

My documents reached BLS Brampton on June 23 and still no reply from them. Filled out grievance form/ tried calling them multiple times and still nothing. Typical Indian govt. employees!

Thanks, Today my dad had got call from police to provide the documents. They gave CAT**** number which is much different that what I have in my application. Also, i'm unable to track it in https://portal1.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/statusTracker/trackStatusForFileNoNew.

That I am really not sure. You may want to check if you are filling up the correct list of forms. I applied from Toronto area. So followed the guidelines and documents given here and could not find the "reference form". https://www.cgitoronto.gov.in/page/police-clearance/

Also from BLS: https://www.blsindia-canada.com/pol_clr_cert.php

BLS Brampton is very very inefficient. COVID has given them a good excuse to hide their incompetency.

My envelope was acknowledged exactly after 22 days. It reached on June 22nd and was acknowledged on 14th July through an email. After several reminders and 2 calls. I am still not able to track the status. They might take another week in opening the envelope and checking your application before they forward it to CGI.

I finally got PCC delivered today. Yay! :D:D (Sorry, I know many people are still going through this but this one warrants celebration for me)

I hope my timeline helps people predict theirs.

Documents reached BLS - May 21
BLS started processing my application -- June 5
Documents reached CGI -- July 9th
Police verification initiated -- June 11
Police verification completed in India by local police -- July 09 ( I had to follow up multiple times :( )
PCC Printed -- July 14
PCC transit from CGI to BLS - July 15
PCC received -- July 17.

It took 57 days from the start date to the end date. Or 1 month, 26 days.

My overall experience.

1. Great learning about Patience & Persistence
2. No-body cares about PCC except US ( people applying for immigration or other related that requires PCC)
3. You will eventually get the PCC.

So please plan 2 months to obtain PCC from India.

Also, this forum helped me predict the outcome with good accuracy(I predicted 15th July but got it 17th July), so thank you all for that!

I think I will not check this thread so often as I did the last couple of months :)

Please note, I have already submitted my profile AOR -21-June. Planning to upload PCC via webform. Trying to figure out what that's going to be so, if anyone knows the process or done this already, request you to let me know
