Looks pretty standard reply to me - I got almost same reply earlier this week, except the background part that you specifically mentioned in your query.

So background verification is in process and I guess second sentence here means that the person replying to you your webform actually went to your application and checked it and there is no document required at this point.
I really appreciate your kind and detailed replies!! I hope I could get my PR asap as I am being impatient ha... a lot of my friends got their PRs.

how is your situation? Mind sharing it?

Hi All - I have a query. My current PNP is through SK and AOR is Feb 03.

Couple of days back Ontario rolled out new NOCs in their OINP program and I fit in few of those categories.

Considering that jobs wise (I will be looking for Senior roles in Analytics) SK doesn't have great pool of opportunities - should I do anything here or get through my current application? I am thinking to get OINP if it comes through and then withdraw my current application and file another EE with OINP. Ofcourse, I will loose lot of time, but atleast I will better luck in looking for opportunities in Ontario.

Any suggestions - will there be issues if I withdraw my current application and then file again? Or is it worthwhile doing all this?

**I have seen mixed reviews in terms of people moving across provinces with PNP - some say it is safe after few months, other say it can be issue** - so not sure which option is good. Any insight will be helpful

Same situation bro - PNP-outland, AOR Feb 03 and background is in process. Have ordered GCS notes, lets see what it says.
Your friends had same category and AOR as you - my feeling is that anyone with AOR Feb 2020 and after is going to experience delay of few months.

My friends aor in Jan and Feb have got their PRs.. my situation is because of that unobtainable document... so it might take extra effort for them to verify through different agencies/ third parties etc..
Hopefully in a month or two... I still think they should process cases/prioritize cases based on the AOR date not just processing the new ones and dealing with the old ones later despite of the complexity of the cases..

my process bar says 84% and Aug 7 will be 100%.

wish us luck!!!!

Can eligibility move from Review completed (per previous webform) to Assessment in progress?

Little perplexed by the recent webform response with regards to eligibility - please help decipher.

WEBFROM RESPONSE - June :

Your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,
· The eligibility review is complete.
· The security background verifications have not been initiated.
· The criminal background verifications are valid.
· The medical examination results on file are valid.

CPC- OTTAWA

WEBFROM RESPONSE - July :

  • The eligibility assessment is in process.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.

    No Office mentioned

Note: Per my GCMS notes on 14th May R10 was OK.

I guess that means your eligibility hasn't been confirmed yet (most probably stuck in background check and security clearance) - same as many of us with Feb AOR.

Definitely not an expert in this sort of situation so please research more before making a decision. However, if you are sure you want to work in Ontario it is advisable to go through their PNP program. Getting a PR through SK PNP and not living and working in SK for a considerable time may look poorly on you in the future. Especially when it comes to applying for citizenship. So better to stick to the province of your PNP.
IF Ontario is what you really want, it might be worthwhile researching a bit more into withdrawing your current EE application and reapplying with OINP.

Are you sure your friends are outland candidates? i haven't heard any outland candidate receiving PR. Also, is it a PR or a PPR email?

Received a webform response today (Same status as when I called)
  • The background verifications are currently valid.
  • The security background verification currently valid.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
Applied CEC Inland but not in Canada at the moment, praying for a PPR or something soon so I can return to Canada.
