I have talked the immigration officer using a CIC contact number. They asked me that you can apply together with your PGWP and your spouse's OWP together since processing time is 90 days or more now. So, once you have your first three pay stubs after you have submitted your application online you can send us using a web form at CIC mentioning the concern and 3 paystubs with offer letter state NOC 0, A or B job. so, they will consider these documents while processing the file. in nutshell, we can apply a together OWP and PGWP if there is processing time is more than two months of online submitted or paper file.

You talked to a call centre agent, not an immigration officer.

Not a guarantee. You are required to meet the requirements when applying, so the visa officer does not have to consider anything sent after and this can still result in a refusal.

So, we cannot apply for PGWP and SOWP at the same time?

Did you ask if both can keep working while PGWP and SOWP are in process ?

Let me explain how I moved forward.

For this issue, I decided to work with a consultant and the consultant made an application for OWP and will shared the PGWP approval with CIC later through a different channel, if it is approved.

Hello,

I guess regarding this issue my situation is a bit complex.

I'm about to finish my program and will be able to apply for PGWP. I've been working full time ON CAMPUS on a full year contract with the university that ends in February 2021 and it would probably be extended to full time indeterminate. I'm in a NOC A position there as a Lab Instructor/ Hardware specialist.

I guess my situation is quite rare to see because I have a full time job even though I'm a student and therefore I have more than three pay stubs from previous months. Note: I can legally work full time on campus.

My wife's OWP will expire on July 30 and I want to know if I can apply for my PGWP, her OPW, and our daughter Visitors visa at the same time. Our daughter is attending elementary school and it would be a tremendous set back should they must leave Canada until I get my PGWP and they complete their own process, which can take up to 9 months.

Thanks,

Not complex or rare at all. Many have skilled jobs while going to school and there is no requirement for the job to be full-time. You can apply together.

Hi everybody, I been read all the posts and is amazing the support one can get from it.
In my case, I have a Study Permit and my wife an OWP, that expire in Nov-2020. (I have two kids also with SP, 11 and 13 yeas old that attend middle school)
I finished a 2-year diploma last month and already have my official transcript and letter of confirmation from the university. (I finished the program three months early as initially planned). My wife is not working now, either I.
I plan to apply to the PGWP now, but I have a couple of doubts related to my family's immigration status.
1. Based on what I read: After I apply to the PGWP, my wife cannot work until I get a Job NOC 0, A or B, plus 3 payslips. Is her Immigration status change automatically, or she needs to apply to a visitor permit? or she can use the remaining OWP?
2. Same for my kids? Do they need to apply again to SP to continuing attending school?

I will appreciate your help and comments on the matter. I have been trying to find the answers, but there is always a subtle difference in all the cases!

Thank in advance!!

Nothing in immigration is automatic.

1. She can work until her current permit expires. She cannot apply for an OWP based on your PGWP unless you have a skilled and the 3 payslips. If you don't have that by the time her permit is expiring, she will need to apply to change her status to visitor.

2. You need to apply to extend their study permits prior to expiry.

I have a complicated situation regarding my application.

I just completed my degree and I'm preparing my application for PGWP. My wife traveled to our home country for a short visit on March 11 and had return ticket for March 19. She went for a follow-up medical appointment due to a surgery she had in 2015 and of course visit her family. Canada closed its border on March 13 and she could not return due to travel restrictions, the our country closed the border and she is been there without being able to return. Her visa will expire on July 31 and she may not be able to return to Canada. I do not know if she should apply for her OWP from Canada (where she resides with her family) or from our country. The point is that she did not return for reasons out of her control but also her visa will expire at some point in the near future.
What would be the recommendation in this case?

Hi everyone! I'm new on this forum. It's amazing to see how supportive is everyone about immigration matters.

Let me explain my situation.
1. I recently graduated from a 2-year diploma on June 2, 2020. I also received my completion of studies letter as well as my transcript on the same day. My husband is a provincial nominee and our study permit and open work permit expire on July 30, 2020. We are collecting all the documents to apply for permanent residence.
2. I'm currently working at a fast-food restaurant and I was promoted to Store Manager about 1 week ago. I'm about to apply for my PGWP, however, I believe I can't apply for my husband's work permit extension together as I have to get the employment letter with the new position (my employer will provide it) and probably (not quite sure) wait for 3 more pays stubs under the new position.

My question is if I can apply for my PGWP and then apply for my husband's extension in a couple of weeks and add an explanation letter about when I got the skilled job and now my husband is eligible for spouse owp. I will be able to have the pays stubs before our permits expire.

Thanks in advance for your advice.
