On the same boat. DM 2 months ago. I expect they will resume the process early June.

Nope I heard NDVO is temporarily closed until further notice

Just an update. Was able to bring my wife and step daughter from Russia. They landed May 11 in Toronto with no problem. Had zero issues with border services etc. Only thing was, i had to fly them from Belarus, since Russia is pretty much completely closed for departures.

I’ve got an update on the GCKEY account this morning saying that it’s 18 weeks left now, yet, no Medical Request, and background check still in process. Weird, I don’t know if it’s going to get past the twelve-month period.

If you're in US, then it makes sense to take much longer. Come on, US has become a shitty place & the hot spot for the virus.
US borders must remain closed for several months for safety of Canada & moreover, the whole world.

Well, I understand the safety concern, but it wouldn’t stop them from processing the applications. They do have a rule to quarantine and isolate those who are coming from abroad, right?

Hello, Has anyone got any update from NDVO, Our application received date is Sept 19,2019, Medicals and Biometrics completed in December. File moved to NDVO on Jan13,2020 and AOR-2 on Jan 29,2020. After that no update.

Is anyone else here with an approved application but no passport request? I don’t understand why can’t they just issue a electronic visa given that the application is approved and spouses are exempted from travel restrictions?
