My friend having 8.82 CPI in Master, computer engineering, (India) wants to apply for Phd where 85% Entrance GPA is required for Dean's scholarship in the University of Saskatchewan. How do they calculate CPI to GPA percentage and does this CPI makes her eligible for scholarship?

Hi Vish,

I'll help you out, not to worry about it. First thing, if you're considering Computer Science for Masters then you should be having relevant experience while completing your bachelors degree as they'll ask you to write a personal statement.

Second thing, 90% is what not required however they do require a minimum of 70%, you can calculate this by yourself as well. Over your last transcript check if your 60 credit hours are equivalent to 70% / C+ / 2.75CGPA out of 4.

Eventually if English was not her first language then she has to give IELTS for sure.

So am wondering when showing the proof of funds, do you have to show for the two years or does one year suffice?

You have to show the fund the full duration of your studies however while writing over the application you have to write your one year expenses.

We're waiting as well, as expected majority of us will get a decision by 1st week of April
Someone replied one of my tweet about a week ago that his wife got rejection letter like 3 weeks ago and was assuring me that since she hasn't gotten a rejection then she's in.
We're hopeful.
