Hi
I have been issued COPR dated (05/12/2019).
I have applicable one time visa till 21-May-20.
I planned to travel to Canada from India on 15-Apr-20 (flights booked).

But now I am coming across a very big issue due to current situation of Corona Virus, where govts. are restricting/banning the travel. Though Canada have not done it yet but you never know what the situation be like in coming 1 month.

In reference to Current global situation of Corona Virus, CIC issued certain guidelines
(https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-special-measures.html).

I have a question regarding this if anyone have better knowledge about it. Incase I am unable to travel before my COPR & VISA gets expires on 21-May (due to corona virus related travel ban, if introduced by Canadian government) then what does CIC statement means when they say "We'll then give you more detailed instructions regarding restarting the processing of your permanent residence application."
Does in that case we need to reapply from step-1 or only medical and COPR will be required?

Can anyone help me clarify this ? or Do you have any suggestion for me as I can not travel before 15-Apr due to my current job notice period till 13-Apr.

Thanks
Tushar

No one here has any further information beyond what is on the IRCC website.

If Canada closes borders, it's safe to say COPRs will be extended.

What are planning to do? Ours expiring on the 8th of May. We have booked tickets for April since jan. I am not sure what to do now?
I am not sure what to do either. I was going to make soft landing, but have just read on the regulations that IRCC don't allow third parties to get my PR card. (I was going to ask a friend to recieve it and mail it to me afterwards)

I have my COPR Ending on April 4th. I have booked flight tickets to travel on march 26th from united states and have booked an H1B appointment for march 30TH. Because if i travel to Canada i also wanted to get my H1B stamped. I am very confused now to travel or not. If i travel to canada and i am struck there with out H1B stamping it's also an other risk. Can anyone suggest me what would be the right thing to do at this point of time? Is there any email/ number that i can send or reach out to them ?

Guys,
I am scheduled to fly on 14 April from Mumbai to Toronto via Paris. Air France has given an option to reschedule or
cancel the flight ticket. My COPR is expiring on 23 April.

What do you all plan to do? Has anyone written to them?

I heard someone from US was denied extension request.

Thanks.

The Bulletin 669 has expired on March 15, 2020 and has been replaced by the *Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Program delivery instructions*. The salient features of the new program delivery instructions for PR, TRV, and citizenship applications are as follows:

• No application will be refused due to non-compliance of missing documents.

• All additional documentation requests will by default have an additional 90 days to comply, if the applicant was unable to meet the initial deadline.

• The biometric instruction letter (BIL) will be issued as usual for 30 days, however officers will allow 90 days to the applicant to comply with it.

• If your PR application has been approved, and you are unable to travel to Canada, you can inform IRCC by submitting a web form. A note will be placed in your application. If at a later date, you notify that you can travel before the expiry of your COPR and PR visa, you can use the same COPR and PR visa.

• For applicants who were unable to travel to Canada, and their COPR and PR visa have expired and if the applicant informed IRCC via the web form that they were unable to travel after the expiration of their COPR and PRV, or if they were unable to travel prior to expiration, their applications will be re-opened and re-assessed in 90 days. Once the applicant informs IRCC via the web form that they are able to travel, a re-opened application may be re-approved provided that the applicant and their family members, whether accompanying or not, have valid immigration medical examinations, criminal and security checks and passports.

• Foreign nationals who are in Canada and whose temporary resident status may soon expire may apply for an extension so that they may maintain their temporary resident status in Canada. There is no fee waiver for any temporary residence applications or extensions. Foreign nationals who have an extension application currently in progress will benefit from implied status and may remain in Canada until a decision is rendered on their application; therefore, expedited processing is not required. Foreign nationals whose temporary resident status has expired may apply for restoration.

Hi Guys
Seems we all are in same boat with no clear idea what to do.

I saw some updates on IRCC website:
------------------------------------------------------------
If your permanent residence application has been approved, but you can't travel to Canada before your documents expire, use the web form to tell us why you can’t travel.

Once it’s possible for you to travel, use the web form to let us know. We’ll then give you more detailed instructions regarding restarting the processing of your permanent residence application.

Landing appointments will be held by telephone Latest update: March 15, 2020
Starting March 16, 2020, we’re cancelling all in-person permanent resident landing appointments until April 13, 2020.

If you had a landing appointment already booked, it will be held by telephone.

We’ll contact you by email to let you know when your phone appointment will be. Use the web form if you need to update your contact information.

If your confirmation of permanent residence has already expired
Use the web form to explain why you couldn’t travel.

Once it’s possible for you to travel, use the web form to let us know. We’ll then give you more detailed instructions regarding restarting the processing of your permanent residence application.
-----------------------------------------------------

Can anyone suggest what is landing appointments ?
