Hello. I would like an advice please on my case :

AOR 08.08.2019

I got a notification on 27.02.2020 that my express entry application was rejected. The refusal letter stated that my application is rejected because I have not submitted sufficient proof of fund. the minimum requirement for my case, a family of 3 is $19K of funds available and they claim that I have only submitted evidence for $11K.
However, I have submitted proof of funds of $24K in the form of two bank statements (myself & my husband).
$11K in my bank statement in local currency and $13K my husband’s bank statement in Euro. Which seems to have been missed in the assessment of my application.
I already sent by webform, the same document of POF I had submitted before on my application and asked Ircc to reconsider my application. I dont know what to do else execpt waiting. Its been almost 7 months of waiting . It's frustrating to think I will need to apply again. Especially when it's not my fault !
Hi, sorry to hear about your situation.

In order for the funds in your husband's bank account to be considered, you need to submit proof that you have access to the money in his account. "If your spouse is coming with you, you can count money you have together in a joint account. You may be able to count money in an account under their name only, but you must prove you have access to the money" (this is extracted from ircc's page on POF)

If you had not done that originally, I suggest submitting evidence to show you have access to his money together with your appeal.

Yes. I did submit with my application a document that proofs I have full access to my husband bank account. It is a document that we signed at the bank that shows I can legally access the money with no limits .
I am confused why they didn't accept it. Maybe its not clear enough. I think I will do another document signed at the notary
And send it on webform

Hmm I agree, not sure why it was not accepted.

Have you ordered notes before? Any remarks about your POF? All the best for your appeal.

This is why ordering notes is not only for peace of mind but also as a preparation for any unexpected issue that may emerge in the application... I think in the notes the reason for not accepting this proof of fund should have been noted down by an officer.
Yes, for myself I am glad I ordered notes and saw that my A11.2 checks were done 4 months after R10, that gave me a peace of mind that slow processing was the delay. And not something else!

Yeah Your case is simply a matter of time now:) Do you have any idea about the approximate volume of applications received by SGVO? or is it also in charge of applications from a couple of neighbouring countries? I cannot think of any reason for serious delays in this VO as it doesn't seem to be responsible for a large population base.
They are in charge of applications from neighbouring countries, I have seen CoR Vietnam, Bangladesh, Malaysia etc being processed at SGVO. They seem to process a lot of Family Class Sponsorship applications too.

If that is the case, then it is understandable that there may be some long queues for officer review... Hope yours will be reviewed soon. I really feel their internal protocol should prioritise those whose applications have gone beyond their officially posted processing time.
Thank you! I am really hoping for some updates soon, in the meantime, I will keep myself occupied and try not to stress over this.

Great:) Thank you for the information!
Now I have a few new questions:
1, I received a donotreply email saying my status has been changed. After logging in, I saw no new update. I found it changed to approved yesterday when I logged in despite not receiving any email at that time. Have you seen such an email?

2, Do you know where I can find a comprehensive list of airports that I can enter to complete my landing? I really need a "ceremonial landing" to wrap this process up instead of doing my landing in their downtown Winnipeg office... I have been searching for information about landing at Winnipeg airport on this forum but to my surprise there is almost no info about this airport. I am 100% sure Winnipeg airport is an international airport and it is considered as a "port of entry". I'm planning to fly to Minneapolis, have a sightseeing tour there and fly back to Winnipeg to finalize my landing...
Hello there! Enjoying life after ppr, hey?
1. Yes!! I received that too. It's to let you know they issued th counterfoil. They seem not to be aware that we check the profile at least a million times a day :D
2. I don't know but I'll try to find out. I'll keep,you posted.

@baltzly here it is the list of airports of entry: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/do-rb/services/aoe-eng.html
In Manitoba is Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport.

No. I didn't order the notes. I thought after 6 months of waiting everything was ok.
I sent a message on webform and they said your application is in process.

Here is their response in french :

Le bureau responsable révise présentement la demande et les documents fournis afin de déterminer si vous rencontrez tous les critères d'admissibilité selon le programme d'immigration économique pour lequel vous avez soumis votre demande, vous pourriez être contacté par l'entremise de votre compte si plus d'information est nécessaire.
Les vérifications d'antécédents sont en traitement

I wasn't expecting a refusal since I submitted all the documents required by IRCC. I really hope they will accept to review my application.

I'm in the same boat dear, I was rejected due to POF. In my case they didn't count money in my investment account and I wasn't aware this could lead to rejection. If you can, have your husband move money into your account then submit new documents for your new balance as well as a letter of explanation for why the money was moved as well as docs showing that transaction.

It's super frustrating honestly. It seems IRCC has guidelines which are being interpreted differently by applicants and officers. It looks like some officers are extra strict, especially when it comes to POF, so I'll suggest you just do what they want and hope for the best!

Hello guys,
Hope everyone is doing good, I just finished my landing process at a border yesterday and everything went smooth, the CBSA officer was super nice and the process took hardly 15mins. She called me in and asked couple of questions mentioned in my COPR(have you ever been convicted of a crime? Do you have any dependents other than the once mentioned?) I answered no for the questions then she made me sign the COPR read the things that a PR can and cannot do and thats it, as of February 29th 2020 I am officially PR of canada.
Wow, what a journey it has been from past 6 years!!! In any case I got a happy ending for what seemed to be a long and hard journey.
All the best to everyone who are still waiting for a decision on their applications and for those who got there’s refused recently guys don’t loose hope keep trying .
Thank you everyone who responded to my posts here to try and help me out, without you guys I would have gone insane
Thank you & Good Luck

I am so happy for your my friend:) All the best in your post-landing life in Canada! I will never forget the time we spent together on this forum cheering each other up! I will probably do my landing in the next two weeks, depending when I will get back my passport:)
Thank you for your kind words my friend and don’t worry too much about landing at a border or flying in to Canada, it is not as scary as it seems.
Good Luck
