We should write an open letter and sign it about our concerns at mexico VO!

I have done 2 sponsorships in the past and they both took well over a year but they had reasons.

I’m going to wait 2 months and if I don’t hear from them I will send new info in. At 8 months I will ask for notes. My MP is pretty amazing so I will at 11 months have then enquire about the process. I have known my spouse for over 10 years. Immigration probably has it documented somewhere that I am close friends with his brother. We are applying for conjugal and have been in a marriage like relationship since 2018. I’m assuming they will want to interview.
I have heard that the conjugal route is really difficult, I have friends that were just recently successful after a 2.5 year battle. They had to prove every little thing. Quote and get letters from PA's home country government and lawyers etc... I am happy they were successful though, I wish you all the best and I hope you had TONS of proof :)
Let us know how everything progresses

OMG! Medical exams after you got transferred...awesome! We did them 1 month before being transferred...and we have the same arriving time to mexico...but I am from April 17.2019..and we are in silence since October
My wife and son we are November 2018 applicants from Cuba . Medical passed August 28/2019 in Trinidad. AOR2 from Mexico July 28/2019. Complete silence since medicals . 15 months and counting

So all this waiting and got my notes today from the visa officer. It said review is required. Interview language Spanish. Event: interview so it looks like we will be several more months now. About 14 months in already

Hey members jus a curious question in regards to notes. If a sponsor orders notes on behalf of the sponsor after SA, is there a section to pay attention to for any indication of interview from cic Sydney before file transfer to visa office?

I didn't see notice of an interview on mine until today and I'm 14 months in. If the application is still in Sydney I think the notes are pointless

I'm wondering...has anyone in this group had an interview in Mexico? What happens after? Do they tell you right there if you pass or fail? Do they collect your passport or do you have to wait a few weeks to find out if you are approved or denied? Anyone with any knowledge of experience would be greatly appreciated!!

Does anyone have the best email address for the Mexico VO??? I read through the notes and under the interview section it says one reason is because my wife was previously married and I was not. But this is the first marriage for both of us. That seems like a big error to make on their behalf!

We had an interview but not in Mexico. The officer was from Mexico and came to the Dominican to conduct the interview. She told my husband right there and then he was approved. She said he would receive an email within a week. We did not get such email for more than 2 months. However, others have been told on the spot and received the email within a week or two. I don’t think they take passports right there and then. Have to wait for the official passport request and then go through the process.

MXICOIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca, OR mexico-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca. If I am emailing, I always send to both email addresses so they can’t say they didn’t receive my correspondence lol

That does sound like a big error! Thank God you requested your notes and read that! I’ve heard a few people say they’ve noticed errors like that on their file. They hold up people’s files for things like only to learn it’s an error they made! Like seriously here!

It is really annoying to wait 14 months only to see an interview is required and that they have my wife listed as previously married
