PRC (Permanent Resident Card) Renewal Timeline 2019

Hello ,
Finally they have completed my application.

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on November 27, 2019.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 18, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on December 18, 2019.
4. We sent you correspondence on December 23, 2019. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
5. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on February 14, 2020.

I sent my application last week. Typcially, how long would it be before I heard from CIC? I tried to linked my application using the UCI number on my current PR card but it says no application can be found.

1. Probably hasn't been opened yet. You will probably have the card (29 days processing) before you see anything on line.

Did u receive ur card?

No. Not received yet. Looks like they mail it a few days later than what it shows in ECAS (Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on February 6, 2020 ). Or Canada Post is super slow. I will let you know as soon as I receive it.. Please let me know if you receive yours.

I agree Canada post very slow specially when you aren’t close to NS..
So for myself I think it will takes up to 3 weeks ( as I live in Vancouver)

My application was delivered on 5th Feb. I haven't heard from them, I understand it will take few more days. I tried linking my application in CIC using UCI, but it shows my application from 5 year ago was PR card was originally mailed. When they start working on my application, will the same application in CIC account get updated and I will get messages under that or I need to link second application?

You will need to link second application. Once you see your application in the ECAS, you will be able to link it. Or search using your UCI and last name.

I sent my application on Jan 27 for NS office. They received on Jan30th /2020. I received an email on Feb 13th from Immigration saying they received my application on Jan 30th. Today is Feb 26 and I cant see my status online, I tried to link my application using all the information I have and still cannot find my application. I am a bit worry. I need to travel March 11. Does anyone have the same problems?

In my case, my application became available for linking 2 days after it became visible in ecas, so if your application became visible today, I would give it another day or two.
