In my opinion an agent wont do anything you can't do. What will be critical is a good SOP letter to establish family ties and show how your program of study will benefit you when you get back to Jamaica. I have several friends that got their visa approved and they didn't have much or really any ties th Jamaica.
Wow this is really helpful. I will review my sop and see how i can better it.... i think i will give it a try on my own

I agree, an agent does not guarantee visa approval all they do is make sure you have everything. based on my experience you don't need ties like that. I never submitted all that info about real estate etc. They mostly want to know that you can fund your tuition and other expenses and won't be a burden to their society. They understand that education is a pathway to PR. Just follow the rules and you will have a good chance

I am here to help anyone else who may have questions. I won't know everything but I will research and pass on the info.
Hi do you know of the current issue with the police reports in Kingston. The office has been closed and no police reports are being issued. This is the only thing i am waiting on and i dont want to submit without it. All my documents are aging and the govt is providing no alternatives

I think the majority of if not all of us are hoping for PR, if not it would be almost a waste to come school here and then live in Jamaica unless we are in a profession that dictates the particular degree. With regard to the choice of the province I have not seen where persons who study in Ontario have a worst chance. The only difficulty is perhaps studying in Ontario and then trying to get PR in another province
