Hi, my application was received,
6/8/2019
Sponsor approval 15/10/2019
Biometrics request 15/10/2019
Biometrics submission 19/10/2019
File transferred to Accra Ghana 21/10/2019
Additional documents requested 28/11/2019
No update since then, No medical request. I submitted the additional documents through the VFS office in Lagos and I was given a tracking number. I also received an automated email that showed the file has been delivered at the Lagos embassy. When I called the VFS office to find out why it was delivered at Lagos embassy instead of Ghana, I was informed that from November 2019, application are no longer processed in Ghana. Up till date no update on my GCkey account other than additional documents were requested from me 28/11/2019 and that they started processing my documents 5/11/2019. No medical done but everyone on the same timeline had theirs done. Should I be worried?

Hi Elazizi,
I know you are worried and that’s truly hard. its hard to believe they changed processing station from Accra, mine was moved to ghana too. I just would say you should check well because it doesn’t say that on the website and maybe you should check well if they know you submitted additional documentation for spousal sponsorship and not visitor’s visa. Plus people on this forum that have seen that submitted additional document do it through the web form online and not physical submission, so you might want to inquire better. I hope we get a response soonest. Fingers crossed

I couldn’t because my immigration lawyer in Canada advise I submitted it via VFS. If he wanted to submit it online I’m sure he would have requested for extra proof of wedding pics and proof of communication between hubby and I.

They requested for proof of communication between my hubby and I from 2018 to 2019 etc emails, telephone bills, Watsap conversation. Also wedding photos. Traditional and marriage rites. Unfortunately, I don’t have those because we didn’t have a traditional wedding but I had lots of pictures from our white wedding and reception pictures.
They also requested for pictures of his visits to Nigeria. I sent those and flight tickets including pictures of pages of stamped passport to Nigeria. It was bulky. Over 90 pictures and over 200 pages of communication since we speak daily, of which I was charged for.

thanks Ramat, I didn’t use the web form because the mail specify that I should send a year long communication history with my hubby. Plus, at the bottom of the mail, it was said I could submit at the VAC. If they don’t accept additional documents, they won’t have accepted it. I’m just wondering if it is possible to upload about 300 pictures of proof of relationship on that web form. You omit some, they’ll think you’re hoarding information. You put much it’s a problem. I’m just sick with worry.

you could combine all the evidence in pdf and reduce the document to the required size, you are not first who need do it, it is unlikely that they need 300 photos and they will look all of them

I can totally understand where you stand! But my advice to you is NOT to send more than required! If IRCC needs more picture proof then let them for it. By u sending 300 pics, you will irritate the officer treating your file. You dont want to start off like that.

What did is I took screen shots of my conversations and pasted 4 shots on each page and same with pictures. Total of 40 pictures and 40 conversations.

For the conversation, I made it into a "story board" meaning I took 2 shots o Jan 2016, 2 shots of April 2017, 2 shots July 2018 and four shots of November and December 2019.

Also I did not put only the "happy and jolly convos" I also included SMALL arguements to make them understand that we go through all emotions. This is how I did it and mine was completed in 1 month and 6 days feom the time I got AOR1. Hope this helps.

Yes you’re right, I have no intention of sending more documents. I sent those documents on the 4/12/2019 and it was delivered 05/12/2019 to Lagos embassy. It’s been over a month now plus I checked the VFS website to ascertain if I did right by sending the additional documents through their courier services, it’s okay to send through them. I guess it all amount to the waiting game.
