Spouse work permit extension

I am currently a student in Canada. My husband is working on a spousal open work permit which is offered until July 2021. When I complete my course, my study permit expires after 90 days as I will not be a full-time student. In case If I don't have any job offer under NOC O, A, B level, I cannot apply the work permit extension for my spouse. During that period, can my spouse continue to work on his current status or not?
Please provide suggestions.

He stops working when his permit expires, unless he has implied status.

My course completes by April 2019, so my study permit expires after that. He got a dependent work permit until July 2021. Does his work permit expires along with my study permit as he is dependent? or His work permit is valid till July 2021?

What is the expiry date on his permit? That's when it expires.

How did he get such a long permit? It should coincide with the end of your program.
