Has anyone of you inside-Canada applicants been asked to give biometrics? Especially those of you who have not given biometrics before for your study permit application

Thanks, bongoman. I am working full-time under this implied status, but recently received a better offer from a bigger Canadian organization and according to their corporate rules, I need to have a valid work permit with an expiry date mentioned before joining the organization.
So thinking of other options to fast-track the process and get the PGWP by next week. My joining date is Nov 12, and the online application may only get approved in early or end of December.
You can flagpole if you are within the 180 days or you could probably ask the company to delay your start, they can be very accommodating.

Noticed some emailed or called them, may I have those contacts please?
Also once approved, are the 3 years starting from the day you've been approved or the day you've submitted?

If I’m in your shoe, I’ll go for flagpole. It’s pretty easy and straight forward.
Best wishes brother
Thank you so much, Toks01. I am waiting to hear the final verdict from the employer on Monday and basis that I will take the call. If I have to flagpole I will go this Thursday to one of the Niagara borders.

Yes, I am within 180 days. The only glitch is, basis my previous online application I was working full-time on Implied status. Now I will be making a fresh application while flagpolling. The officer might ask about my present work and may question the eligibility.

Question what? You are allowed to work since you applied for PGWP. This is not an issue.

Gotcha! I will keep you guys posted. If the new employer agrees to let me work under implied status, nothing like that. I will hear from them on Monday. Else will go ahead with the flagpole.

Hi guys,
Next year I'm planning to university to get masters degree in IT. Here are couple questions:

1. If the course is 1 year full time once I complete it there is an option for co-op internship for 4-8 month. Would I be eligible for 3 years PGWP if go with co-op after study?
2. I'm going to travel to Canada with my wife and little daughter. Is it possible to get work permit for my wife while I'm studying and kindergarten for my daughter?
3. Let's say I graduate in September 2021 can I work right away or should I first get PGWP to work?
4. If get my PGWP in Dec 2021 does it mean it would be active till Dec 2022?

Your help will be appreciated.

No I wasn't asked to give biometrics during the PGWP application. Probably I already registered my fingerprints when I first entered Canada in 2014 and received my study permit on the spot at the airport customs office.

I received an eTA along with the work permit, however, when I went to check the status of the eTA just to make sure it exists and is valid, there was no match/result given. How come?

Did you apply inside canada for pgwp, then you shouldn't have gotten an eta. Etas are pretty simple to apply for.
