Lucky you all.... We did our medicals upfront (for the work permit) in Jan. and now Immigration is asking for them again! Call center agent said that it's most likely because they will not finish processing our application by the time the medicals expire (in January 2020!!!).
38 days to the year mark... and awaiting patiently but anxiously.

Hi all... so discouraged. We have not even received the medical request and the 12 month mark is a few weeks away... :'( this whole process is just incredibly frustrating. Sending a webform was useless, they just told us to be patient... :'(

So glad I don't live in Quebec and never will
The way they are treating immigrants and making them wait for so long is horrible, not to mention discrimination and many other things...
They want to separate from Canada, they should let them

We landed yesterday. Standard 5 min interview confirming first and latest entry to Canada, whether we have any dependants, crimes, etc. All done now, just waiting for the PR card.

When did you apply? We got asked for more paperwork now that my son is 18.

I have been living in Quebec City for two years now, and overall, I have felt welcomed here. Waiting longer than the ROC does suck, but I don't think it's enough to generalize an entire province and its people.

And no, they do not want to separate from Canada, that was generations ago, the current generations (in their 40's or younger) identify first as Canadians and then as québécois.

Lastly but not least, I am soooooooo happy that I got to live in Quebec rather than any other province because thanks to that, I am now trilingual and please don't dare say they don't speak French coz they do. I have spoken to Swiss, French, Belgians, Tunisiens, etc., and we are able to communicate just well all while speaking French.
