Most likely your visa will be rejected as it's hard to prove ties. I would suggest following if you are not in hurry

• Go for masters it will increase your chances
• Show income tax return (tax certificate) if you managed to prove that you have handsome income here to live a decent life.

Sorry I doesn't mean to let you down. My wife also going to apply for masters. I am on same boat with 3 years old son.

We are in process for sep 2020 session and will go through SDS. SDS doesn't guarantee visa but yes study permit where you still need transit visa for travelling.

This is my brother's application he opened an account in meezan bank and sent money through Meezan bank to Habib Canadian bank. The whole process was such a pain and it took more then 40 days due to incompetency of Meezan bank money declined 3 times due to their mistakes and we have to pay fee every time and 5% tax on $10,000. I have never encounter such unprofessionalism and team on idiots. Finally I asked a bank manager in Canada to talk to those idiots and explain them.

@alijumani I am also planning to process my payment with meezan bank. But they are asking for official letter from the bank or university to justify the GIC amount. Tuition fee is not an issue because I have the admission letter from university but what am I supposed to do about the GIC?? How did you guys justify this payment?

Also, are you guys applying for spouse visa? If yes, are you buying GIC for principal applicant only or principal plus spouse (I.e. 10000 cad plus 4000 cad)?

To be honest , I am also waiting for Gic. My bank did not ask me to justify my payment. I am in the same boat as you guys are.. while applying with spouse, I am planning to submit only principal amount..
I will ask some consultant etc. Once I sort out i will surely share my experience.

I wanted to ask that in which currency u had foreign currency account ? if it was in USD than how did u made payment in CAD? I mean how u calculated the Exchange rate frm USD to CAD ?

Yes had an account in usd. Sorry, didn't pay any attention to exchange rate or anything we just wanted it to transfer money here in Canada

so then how did u decided how much in terms of USD are to be paid ?

Idk I just ask bank to send 11000cad to be safe
