Actually I don't know exactly when. I only noticed the change in eligibility status yesterday but it could have easily been immediately after my mother got her Biometrics done. I just didn't pay any attention to it.
As you see in the status, the eligibility evaluation is still under process; for me, it was the Biometric correspondence letter that was a somewhat significant update in the status.
Congratulations! For the benefit of others can you let us know what you submitted along with your application to prove that the applicant will leave Canada in time?

And also, how the applicant will fund the stay in Canada?

Guys

My mom's visa got approved today. One strange thing is we have not received any email for passport request.

Her GIC account though is showing approved Nd a passport request letter is attached along with biometric confirmation.
Congratulations! For the benefit of others can you let us know what you submitted along with your application to prove that the applicant will leave Canada in time?

And also, how the applicant will fund the stay in Canada?

Yes sure. These are the following things we submitted to prove ties to India -
  • Property Papers
    • General Power of Attorney (No evaluation from CA). She has 2 properties in her name.
    • An estimate of the value of properties in the cover letter and mentioned that she is the sole owner and caretaker of the properties.
    • Property Tax receipts from the past 3 years
  • Rent Agreement
  • Proof of Funds in the bank account - Bank statements and letter from the bank detailing liquid funds + fixed deposits.
  • ITR for last 3 years
  • Mentioned that I have a sibling who lives in India
  • Mentioned that my mother has her brothers, sisters, nieces & nephew
  • Travel History - My mother has travelled to Schengen in the past
  • Mentioned that we will buy Medical Insurance once we get the visa
  • Reserved Return Ticket (we didn't buy the tickets, of course, the reservation was for free)
Apart from that, I gave the following from my side-
  • Employment Verification Letter - Mentioning that I am a full-time permanent employee and what work I do.
  • Employment Offer Letter
  • Pay Stubs
  • Bank Statement
  • PR Card Copy of me & my wife
  • Invitation Letter -
    • Stated that my mother will come and leave at the specified dates (a period of 6 weeks)
    • Stated that my mother will (of course) stay in my apartment
    • Stated that we will visit different cities in Canada such as Toronto, Niagra etc. I didn't give any detailed day-to-day itinerary. I found it silly in my case to pen down a day-to-day itinerary. I have a full-time job and can only go out on the weekends. So, my mother will stay at my house most of the time (maybe we go & see Niagra falls in the weekend or some nearby places) and this is what we wrote.
    • Job Details
I submitted all that we had easily available and I didn't make any special efforts such as getting our property evaluated, buying air tickets beforehand, buying medical insurance beforehand, doing hotel reservations in places where we might go in Canada etc.
