Ontario PNP (OINP) 2019 Discussion Join Here

I received my NOI on August 1, and my profile expired on 10th of August. So I created a new profile with the UCID of the expired profile.
And with this new profile, I submitted the application for OINP. I contacted Ontario on 10th of September asking them if I should be submitting anything further and I received a mail stating Incomplete Application and that I should be submitting the old profile and documents containing details of the new profile and the NOI. On 13th of September I saw the red icon enabled in the OINP portal, clicking on which enabled me to add the requested documents and I submitted them.

On 16th of September, I received the Receipt of Complete Application mail and the application status changed to Assessment.

Hi , i received my noi on Aug 1st as well..but i have been waiting for my masters eca ever since.was due this week. I have registered on the oinp portal but i want to know that do they accept application after 45 days? Because i hav heard on several forums that its actually 6 months . Also now that i have registered , can i wait a few days for my masters eca and based on that submitt the application or withdraw if in case crs goes above 470?

Why are you waiting for your Master’s degree ECA? When does your 45 days expire?

Personal Opinion
$1500 is nothing compared to the peace of mind of becoming a PR. So many people have been in Canada for years and would pay a lot more than 1500$ if they get a NOI .

Pay the $1500 even if you have to use your credit card( another smile )

Technically, you have to live in a province nominating you through the PNP process. In fact you have answer ‘yes’ to a question saying you commit to living in Ontario.

I have heard of people who decided to move from their PNP province after nomination and ran into issues during citizenship time.( Not 100% sure)

But I also personally know of a person who had a PNP and left the province before 3 years and is now a citizen. ( Because technically again, a PR has freedom of movement by law)

And why would you want to live elsewhere in Canada? If you are scared of high expenses in the GTA, you may move to Windsor or London ON later on.

In 2015/2016, Ontario gave NOI to many people above CRS 400, many too it for granted because of 1500$ fee, they are still roaming Lagos without a PR.

What if the scores go to 489 after the elections or the whole express entry thing is restructured, it can be regrettable?

What if the French scores were not released? Or the test date was cancelled because of a Dorian-like storm?

In summary, pay 1500$ and have peace of mind. That way you’re contributing to the growth of our province ( u can grow here).

Just for reference, I have a CRS score of 443 that I can maybe improve it with a better French language score (English is maxed out), and I am turning 30 next year.

My questions to anyone who can help are the following:

- Should I not risk it and apply to Ontario? I'm not sure if this is my only shot to get permanent residency.
- Is there a chance ITA's would be sent with my score or similar in the coming months or early next year?
- Would I be obligated to stay in Ontario if I apply and am accepted?
- Cost is a factor and I don't know if I should pay another 400-500$ to take the French test, or spend the 1500$ on OINP if it isn't guaranteed.

I started my struggle in 2017... CRS hit 413 and 415 and 417 etc. but by the time I got my ECA and reached 424... score never came down again... then I started diploma in 2018 hoping when I reach 446 it will surely give me ITA but by the time I got upgraded ECA, scores stopped above 457. I was lucky to get PNP in tech draw by ontario.
I would suggest to pay $1500 and have peace of mind instead regretting for the rest of your life ... if the score went above 480. A bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush

Its certainly possible with the French test. However, the more I reflect on what you and others have suggested, it seems the smart to apply to Ontario. I've began the application today and I'm coming across new obstacles like passport pages and reference letters.

If you're eligible or have received noi from Ontario.. nothing like it.. consider that 1500 CAD as an insurance policy's premium.. it'll ensure you get an ita :)
