We are March 22 applicant. My wife did her examination and the result was received on June 12. We have not heard from CIC regarding RCMP fingerprints or anything. My question is that: has anyone heard of any cases getting AIP without RCMP fingerprints?

Yes, you have to declare if you have ever been in common-law relationship before. I remember there’s a question in the forms asking both the sponsor and applicant. It shouldn’t have any effect on your app as long as you declare it. For proof of cohabitation, just make sure you have enough to prove at least 1 year of living together.

The only reason i could think of that CIC would question your past and current relationship if it seems that it wasn’t genuine or if you were involved with relationship/marriage fraud to solely get a visa.

March 14 app. Got ghost update #2 today. Background check started July 17. I still don’t know what that update means because there was no difference in status.

I got the eligibility passed letter a few minutes after the ghost update. Does this usually mean automatically SA and PA approved both sides or is there still a possibility there could be refusal?
