I raised a webform a couple of days ago and I got the below response:

Please be informed that your application is currently in queue for review by an officer. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a date on which your file will be reviewed.
Please be assured that you will be contacted immediately should further information be required or regarding the next steps in your file.

I don't know what to make of this. As always, I get a generic vague response. This is so frustrating. Not sure if I should be content with the fact that atleast my file is in queue for review.

Don't these officers get an updated internal deadline on files that have passed the 6 month timeline? The wait is not really a big problem, it's the complete uncertainty that is giving sleepless nights. They can atleast give us tentative dates.

My AOR is 26th Jan and I haven't seen a single update or movement post my biometrics that happened back in March. I have not even seen a ghost update.
This is completely normal buddy, don’t worry. Best way to get updates is either by calling the call center or ordering the GCMS notes. Also, email Ralph’s office.

All details are widely available on this forum. My detailed post is on page 414. Tag me and I would be happy to help further :)

I also got an email today saying my application is currently in queue for review by an officer.

Is this a bad sign? is it an indication that something's amiss in my documents or my case is complicated that it needs review?
It's a standard email. It means they place you in queue and an officer will get around to your file when it's your lucky day, whenever that is no one knows.. a lot of people are in the same boat..
If you want more details, you should order GCMS notes if you haven't already

Since when? I had called two days back. No issues .. I used Skype caller
My mistake! They say they will disconnect then forward. I guess it's just the new recording in place for when they stop taking calls soon..

I lost my mind with what the on-call agent told me today. Apparently "Review required means there is no timeline. It can take weeks, months, years.." his exact words

Almost makes more sense to me to withdraw and reapply but that's so hard when you've already invested more than half a year..
I actually know a guy on immitracker who was stuck on RR for 14 months. The agent told him he is not sure if his file would be touched in the next 3 months since his Medicals already expired 4 months ago and there was no movement. He decided to withdraw his application and reapplied after a month. This time he received his PPR in 4 months.

See this is exactly where the system is so bloody broken

Thanks a lot @rushi.gada.
And yes, I already emailed Ralph and ordered the GCMS notes based on your instructions posted previously. And recently raised a web form.

Thanks for always sharing these tips and spreading positivity.

I'm doing the same.. will unwatch this thread. I need to move on in life..
You're probably the most positive person on here. I wouldn't want you, of all people, brought down by the doubts and negativity, to which I'm surely contributing lol
I do hope it works out for all of us and soon! Stay strong bro

Sure but the whole system makes no sense. There should be no "review required" bs. If an application is incomplete, reject or send ADR.. not this endless nonsense. At least that frees up the applicant to reapply or move on
After 6 or max 8 months they should just accept or reject applications, make goddam decision already. There is no point in piling them up for months.

Yeah I know... The lack of decisiveness is horrible

Do you know what that actually means? Is it the final review?
Yes it definitely is but I doubt it's an actual "queue" .. that part must be a lie because of the absolute random amounts of time people are stuck in this status

Yeah I know... Lack of decisiveness is worse than cancer

I'm pretty sure the "queue" is a lie since I'm stuck here for 4 months. What I don't understand is are all final review applications put in the same queue or is there a different queue?

I'm in this dreaded queue since May 9, 2019 but some who applied in April and May 2019 received the same "queue" response, have got PPR already.

I have nothing against new applicants getting PPR, we are all here for the same goal. But what doesn't make sense is how their application was picked up first from the queue? My logic tells me that surely my application must have been put in the queue first. So if you go by that order then definitely at some point they would reach my file that was put in queue in May instead they reached files that were put in queue in July/August? This is so messed up.

My understanding is that the standard "queue" only applies to fresh applications that they're considering, which don't have any outstanding issues (that cause RR). I'm sure those must be processed in the order they are received. And once they pick up a file, it seems like it just takes them a few days to clear it. However, if and when you are in the RR pool (as opposed to queue) then basically anything goes.. Personally I'm much happier with a rejection than uncertainty. I'd be happy to reapply with more attention to detail!
