Hi guys,

This is Ammar and I am based in Sweden. I sent my application of self-employed person immigration to Canada on July 8. A month later (on August 7), the IRCC sent me the client and application numbers (by e-mail). And asked me to pay for the biometrics fees (CAD 85). Does this imply/mean my application is accepted?

July 8: I sent the application by registered mail.

July 26: Received by IRCC.

August 7: AOR.

I have sent mine on 4 august they received it on 12th august and sent me AOR today.

I am trying to link my application but getting a problem, I have also confirmed while creating your profile online will it ask for your IELTS details.? i have sent my original IELTS along documents now I don't remember what my IELTS id and score was as I didn't make any copy of it.

Sounds great. No. they do not ask for IELTS details. However, you may contact the IELTS testing center (where you took the exam) and ask for another copy of your IELTS report (tell them you are applying to IRCC). See details below.

Kind Regards,

Ammar

Yea. I am surprised too. It took me one month to get my client and application numbers. So fast indeed. If things go well, then we must get our visas in few months. Perhaps by Christmas?

Good luck for you as well.

Hi all, indeed this is one of the best self employed forum for Canada visa. Thank you so much leavingonajetplane for starting this thread. I have gone through each and every page of this forum and found very informative. Congratulations to all who already got PR. I am an Indian and just joined this forum. I got my AOR in the month of February 2019. Waiting for next step like medical. Under the progress bar, there is a message like "We are processing your application etc etc........ and you may not hear us for a while this is normal". Is this message common?

Did anybody got medical request recently, if yes please share your timeline.

I also request all of those who got PR and already landed, please share your experience in Canada as a self employed (positive and negative both), it'll be a great help for others. Thanks in advance.

So, six months passed since you got the AOR. I am wondering too. Did the IRCC ask you to submit/send additional documents e.g. police clearance certificates?

Did they ask you to pay for the biometrics?

Yes, it's being a long six months and still waiting!!!!

Ammar, they didn't ask for any additional document till date and as far as PCC is concerned the same was (in original) also submitted along with all other documents at the time of submission of application.

I had submitted my application in the month of November 2018 and the same was received by IRCC on 26th of November-2018 and at that time bio metrics were not required for Indians. It got started from 01st January 2019 on wards and even IRCC website clearly states that those ( obviously Indians) who applied before December 2018 and their application also accepted before this deadline doesn't need to go for bio metric.

@Loveugod we submitted the application about the same time.

- 29 Nov 2018: Submit application
- 20 Feb 2019: AOR
- 13 Mar 2019: AOR LVO
- 28 May 2019: Request for Police cert
- 10 Jul 2019: Submit Police cert (takes me a while to get PC from 2 different countries)

Now waiting for the next step. Most probably medical check or maybe(hopefully) passport request :D
