Thanks . I am in INDIA and not married . My AOR is 7th MAY and i am waiting for PR Approval.
You have a lot of time left before the end of 6 months. Thought it’s not unheard of for an application to get approved sooner, now a days it’s taking 6-8 months, so be mentally prepared and don’t get worried

I have listed down steps on page 414 in case of no response. Ideally by now, you should have be done with bio metrics and medical .. after which they will start the eligibility and criminality check

@legalfalcon @rushi.gada and Friends can you tell me one thing -- After my application approve and get PR and get Pasport stamped and get COPR.and then later before landing in Canada I get married. and then I go to Canada how can I file for my spouse . -- when can I file for my spouse ? -- After I got job ?
-- How much should be minimum salary required ?
-- How much time it will take to get spouse visa ?
How are you applying? There is a simple procedure of adding spouse to the application. You will need to get hold of your marriage certificate etc as soon as you get married. update and submit a new proof of funds documents to show about 16K CAD

This changes completely if you apply for your wife’s PR from Canada, she could join you and live in Canada with you on a visitor visa and you guys could apply from Canada but this is only recommended if you are financially sorted.

The timelines for PR applications are suggested 6 months but can take longer and also could finish sooner. It’s purely jackpot it seems :)

Please anyone I need some help. I received the biometrics letter on July 9th and I gave the biometrics on July 24th. It shows my biometrics number and date of biometrics in CIC website but it kept saying "we need your fingerprints to process your application". Today it changed to "we did not receive your fingerprints" . I am extremely worried right now. I followed the instructions in the biometrics letter and gave the biometrics within the timeframe. Can anyone help me with this?
No need to worry as far as the enrollment and expiry date show

I received my biometrics instruction letter recently and have two questions. Can anyone in the community help me with these?

1. I currently live in the united states. I tried booking my biometrics appointment with the USCIS but the latest one I could book is 2 weeks away. Does USCIS accept walk-ins for biometrics?
2. Is the application kept on hold without any further processing until the biometrics are received?

1. No, you have to have an appointment with USCIS. CIC gives you a whole month to get your fingerprints done. So it's ok if USCIS has no openings for 2 weeks.
2. Yes, CIC cannot process your application without your biometrics. According to the biometrics collection letter if you fail to provide your biometrics within the specified time frame your application will be refused. Iam not sure if they do other processing in the background while you get your fingerprints done. Nevertheless, you must get them done before the deadline or request an extension. I hope this helps

Hi, my AOR was
May 17,
CEC , on Work permit, LIMA exempted
Medical passed on 2nd July.
Edmonton office

I had called agent yesterday to ask about the progress of my application and was told that criminality was passed and eligibility and security were in progress.

Today i got a refusal letter straight away stating that i did not meet the eligibility. Just to let you know , i had claimed 50 points for arranged employment and as a proof, had attached employment proof letter from employer stating my salary, designation, NOC, and a statement that i am required to work in the organisation for 2 years. It did mention my duration of stay here, however, not word to word as per the CIC guidelines.
The refusal letter stated that -“ none of the employment letters provided by me, established that i will be employed for at least 1 year after receiving PR”.

Moreover, i am not the 1st employee in my organisation to have used this letter. I know at least 10 colleagues who have claimed 50 points and used the same letter as proof and have got PR too.

Any kind of help/ suggestions will be highly appreciated.

@legalfalon your suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks
SRT.

what should be the minimum salary required to sponser spouse.
Look here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/family-sponsorship/spouse-partner-children/eligibility.html

“In most cases, there isn’t an income requirement to sponsor your spouse or partner or dependent child. You only need to show that you have enough money to meet the income requirements if:

  • you’re sponsoring a dependent child that has 1 or more dependent children of their own, or
  • you’re sponsoring a spouse or partner that has a dependent child, and their dependent child has 1 or more children of their own.
The Financial Evaluation form instructions explain how much money you’ll need and how to fill out the form.”

@rushi.gadahow much time it will take to approve spouse application.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/family-sponsorship/spouse-partner-children.html
“Sponsor a spouse, partner: about 12 months”

@JNS1214 the basic information’s on the IRCC site...

Hi I am not an expert but my case is same as yours. I applied EE- CEC and got 50 points for lmia exemption.
When I updated the job offer letter, I include this sentence below.
"We would like to express our commitment to employ you for at least a year after you have been granted PR status."

I was confused since I had to upload three different employment related letter so I asked to CIC agent via Facebook, they said I must include that I am going to employ by company after one year I have been granted PR status.

My case is also in Edmonton and eligibility requires review now.

Hope you resolve this matter soon Best luck for you!

Hi, was you case refused or is still under process? I just spoke to one agent and he was not ready to listen to my explanation. He was being very picky about every word written in the letter. The employment letter clearly states that i am required to work from Canada for 2 years. But the agent says it should say “full time “ work for two years. Now, this is the limit!! The 1st line of the employment letter already says that i am a full time employee. Its just that the information is provided in 2 different sentences and not in one sentence.!! How does it matter at all..!!

Hi, I received ITA recently and due to some important personal matters I couldn't complete the PR application till the last day. But now I'm afraid that because of a miscalculation on my part, I may have submitted application after the allotted time. It was shown as 0 days remaining while I was submitting but other than that I was able to upload the details successfully and payment also went through.
How can I confirm if it's a possible reason for rejection and if things were to go that way, would I get the amount back and how much time will it take for the profile to get rejected. Thanks in advance
