What’s your role and which NOC did you choose?
1211 - Was a mix of wealth management, IT and Loan processing...however the duties matched more with this NOC so applied under it. Eitherways if the visa officer did find something that he/ she needs information about shouldn't they have contacted me ? Spoke to the call centre agent and she mentioned clearly that the details of an application or its status is NOT given to any third party yet Mr Ralph Goodale gets a hold of it ? We try to contact the visa office but it can only be done via webform and no email / call ? These folks are pretty good at making a person feel helpless is what I think. The agent just informed me my application was at Ottawa and then was sent to New Delhi and that it's in progress.

Communication or the lack of it is the only debatable aspect of this process. If you’re confident about your NOC selection, then perhaps reason could be something else. Let’s hope you get your notes in time to be able to take appropriate action and rectify the issue.

In fact call center has no information once the file is transferred to an office outside Canada. Did you trying enquiring with them again for reason of eligibility?

Spoke to the call centre agent and all she said was its in progress. Then again if there was an issue with my application it should have been brought to my notice via email or the CIC site :) but nothing has shown up.

What exactly is the concern of the officer? Can you share the content of PFL?
However, they have given you an opportunity to provide evidence that your salary statements are genuine. If they are, you can resubmit the latest statements along with a letter from the Bank. Also, your employer may be able to provide a letter confirming the account details where your salary is being transferred.
Hey @Shahanastar , I have a query here. My application is over due , my status is security and eligibility pending.

In my most reason job where it has been 6.5year of experience. My company does not provide the experience certificate till the time you quite the job. So I wrote a mail to my HR asking for experience certificate stating my roll and responsibilities. They replied, that they do not give the experience certificate at the moment.

So I attached this mail with letter of explanation. And also attached:
- appointment letter
- recent increment mail.
- I card photocopy.
- 6 months salary slip.

However I did not attach my salary account statement.

Could this be a issue?

When you apply, you are not even guaranteed to be accepted. When you get PPR you have 30 days to submit documents and get CoPR (and a visa in your case).

Also, is 3 months notice normal in India? It's 2 weeks in the US.

When you have CoPR, you have up to 3 years to move. Resigning without the CoPR in your hand seems dangerous and irresponsible, in my opinion, but do whatever's best for you. :)

I understand your concern, no its not generally 3months in India. It's with organisation I am working with. They have a high attrition rate.

Also I agree with your point. The thing is if I want to settle in Canada. Then I should be there ASAP and be up and running. So I don't waste more years in doing current things then that my future is going to be.

PS - What makes you think IT companies hire seasonally in the summer? In Canada, like the US, they also have a customary 2 weeks notice period and new employers expect people to not onboard for 2 weeks. Transitions are easy. You can always switch to another job.

Canada and the US do not hold you hostage to a job like your 3 months notice period in India (I just read up on the 3 months notice period in India - that's insane).
Hahaha and thank god, I am not the only one that thought this was insane.

Well anyhow. I am not with a IT background. If I was world would have been a play ground for me.

So that is the catch.

Was just on the CIC site and noticed a change in Background check. Would they conduct BG checks if the eligibility was invalid like Mr Goodale said ?

That’s ok as long as you’ve submitted payslips. If required, you will be requested for statements. However, how did you address the absence of roles and responsibilities on the letter?

I would provide them the email of you requesting the letter and provide the email of them rejecting it. I'd also get a signed letter from a colleague attesting to your job duties. Your job duties are the most important thing, because that is how they match your NOC.

Thanks but I have not used a letter from Colleague. Should I do that now. Will it have impact on my wait time if I do the same right away?

    • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits; and

What I had done was submitted a letter of explaining why I am not able to submit the experience certificate for my current job and proofs that I am submitting as a genuine job.

Following things:
-Mail from HR that they cannot provide the experience certificate (This mail thread has all the role and responsibilities mentioned by me to HR)
-Offer letter
-Appointment Letter
-Probation confirmation letter
-Recent encriment mail
-Salary slips for last 6 months
-I card copy

So This is what I did.

I just got a letter from work with all the info Canada wanted: salary, duties, title, length of employment, salary, benefits, hours worked weekly, etc.

Appointment letter is the letter-where organisation confirms they are hiring you.

Probation confirmation- it's the initial period in which a organisation monitors ur performance, incase they don't find your performance satisfactory, they can terminate your services

Encriment mail- this mail confirms my increment or promotion to next level based on my performance.

I card-ID card of the organisation with you image and details.

So this is what it is.

I get ur point on role and responsibilities.(if you want should send you the letter of explanation and Hr email. For your review and thoughts)

But I have not give bank statement as salary payment proof....so can this be a issue?
