If they are on the application then yes she has to be financially sound and for the same the immigration may ask you to prove by providing relevant documents.

Yes I called IRCC few minutes back... the guy told me that apart from few who got approval being exceptional, according to processing center the sponsor approval are now going out for September 2018 applicants so December applicants will have to wait accordingly.

I felt like crying literally. I need to fly out of Canada badly next month starting and the guy said even if I am approved when I am out, I have to satisfy officer at border why I went out and if he allows me in only then I can do the landing interview and so on but if he doesn’t then application will go waste.

I am so pissed right now :(
Stay positive man....u gonna hear good news soon. Did u get rcmp Fingerprint request untill now or no..

Called so many times...they said its standRd process and still there is alot of time left till december so dont worry...I am tired of inquiring again and again

Unless they go over the 12 months there is no point in calling. Canada is pretty clear that you should plan for 12 month processing time. They aren’t just processing your case so it takes time and they also have to wait to hear back from other countries. It does seem like your application is likely to be completed within the 12 months which is not the case for everyone.

12 months is the target time for spousal sponsorship so you are still in the normal processing times.

That’s exactly what I wrote above. May I know your timeline if you don’t mind?
