Hi folks,

Got my SA today!!!
File received: April 23
AOR: June 4
Biometric Request : June 5
SA: June 7

Hi , are you the PA?
how did you receive biometric request ? Can you be able to see all these in your PA account? Or is it only the sponsor who sees this?

Someone help answer.

Does anybody know if it is normal for the SA to take longer if the sponsor doesn't reside in Canada? From looking at the tracker everybody seems to get MR,BR and SA fairly quickly and we haven't heard anything back yet after AOR which we got on the 23rd. I know that it still is early but I was just wondering. All this waiting just makes me anxious. I wonder if our officer went on vacation or is sick. o_O

I doesn’t make any difference, my Canadian wife has never lived in Canada and got SA 4 days after getting AoR

CIC sent my spouse (PA) medical request, they have indicated that biometrics isn’t needed at this point. Although where we are from is required to give biometrics to start processing the application. Is this a normal process?

Yes. You should get an separate email for Biometrics request soon. Have you already paid the Biometrics fees with your application fees? Its quicker if you pay at the beginning.

Okay, I was just wondering about it because of the proof of intend to return to Canada. I thought maybe it takes some time for them to read through that. Well, I hope that we will get the SA soon. :)

Yeah I paid the biometrics fees upfront.
