hi all, quick question: My wife’s last name was changed before she became a PR. Her current passport and PR has the married last name. Do we need to provide name change documents based on the fact that she is showing 2 names in Question 5 (maiden name and married name)

A quick question. My PR is expiring end of August and my application is in process since May 13th. If I am not planning to travel outside Canada this year, would it still be recommended to renew my PR card? Thanks.

My PR card expires in October and I applied for Citizenship in April. I am not planning on travelling so I will not be renewing my PR card.
I do not think it is necessary to renew the PR card if you are not travelling. I've read that they take your PR card at the Oath ceremony anyway.

I would recommend to renew it, just incase there is an emergency and you had to travel. but if you think at no point you will be going out of country than there is no harm not renewing it and wait for citizenship grant.

Hi all! A few hours ago I found my ECAS reading as "We sent you correspondence on May 17, 2019. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required." This is while I have neither received any email , nor anything has been delivered by post yet. Has anyone had some similar experience? Since I suppose they are processing the applications in local offices, I don't expect any letter sent by them is taking more than a day or two at most to be delivered by Canada Post. Any insight friends? Do requests for FP or additional documents come in mail, without we being notified by email?

Nothing in the spam either! Thanks anyway. By the way which number do I have to call? Should I be calling some local immigration office in Vancouver?

Hi
Unfortunately my application is returned as it was incomplete due to missing signature.
So i have question whether should i send same application after signing them or do i need to fill all the forms again and resend the application?

Experts please provide your inputs

Thanks in advance
The same thing happened to me. I submitted my application in Nov 2018 and got the documents back in Feb 2019 because of missing signature in the online calculator print out. I signed the same print out and added a cover letter and explained everything. I resent the same application in Feb and received my AOR in May.

Hi guys, I was requested FP on May 8th. Only for me, no request for my wife.
I got FP done yesterday and I requested to be sent to me and then I will forward them to the office. Why? Because, I wanted to have more control, knowing when I send them I will get a signature from the office rather than having the RCMP sending the to CIC and not knowing if they got there or not.
We will see how it goes....
Hi guys, as follow up my post from 10 days ago, I received my fingerprints sent by RCMP yesterday and I forwarded yesterday to the CIC office in Scarborough so, I will get a signature from them.

PS: Adm., please kindly correct my location in the spreadsheet to Bolton. Thanks in advance.
