ya , I was confused on Q4, 5 and 6 for financial information form. Q4 you have already told me, not to fill because I dont have a spouse (no co-signer) So, I didnt answer points under Q4, left the boxes blank.

For Q5, I dont understand what do they mean and if I should put 0 in the box or leave it empty? Please help me fill this one.

For Q6, I have put 0 (no other family member is financially dependent on me except my parents) Since, I have already put 2 in Q - 3A for my parents that I am sponsoring, I think i should put 0 for Q6, correct?

if you dont have spouse, then put 0 for Q5
and same 0 for Q6. it says "if not included above"....but you have included them already in Q3. so Q6 would be zero.

It's just extra work (for nothing really) for the officer taking a look at your file. I mean, hats off to your wife to joining you on this (truly, it was a battle in my household) but personally, I wouldn't make the officer's job any harder than it has to be. Less stuff for them to check, the faster they close your file. Just my 2 cents anyway ;)

Yea. makes sense.

and if i have to put my employment history, is it advisable to go by the company you worked for ( with dates and gross salary ) or go by the year, starting from 1st january till 31st december and mentioning the employers you worked for ?

I will give one suggestion though, given that the required income has to be maintained throughout the application process (currently ranging from 1 year to 2 years), its better to have a co-signer to cover the risk of income loss due to lay-off. Now i do understand that EIs are counted as income, but you never know, depending on which part of the Canada you live in, sometimes it takes more than 6 months to get a job, now i am not undermining your skills/ experience, but its better to be ready for worst, however i wish the best for you and your family!

Have you checked if you can see it using your UCI?? i.e. Is the information for the two UCI's linked?

and @ashu.thind

He can always add the wife later as well. I called IRCC on this same issue as my husband wasn't nearly as enthusiastic about helping me at first. Here is what the agent sent me via e-mail:
>>
After applying for sponsorship - Family class sponsorship - Adding a co-signer

The spouse or common-law partner of the sponsor may co-sign an undertaking to help meet income requirements by pooling resources.

If you have a sponsorship application in process, you could have the option of adding a co-signer during the process of the application as long as a negative assessment or a final decision has not already been made.
