Asking one more time - we got notice to do medical on May 3rd. My spouse can't get an appointment until June 7th. The letter says that we should contact the IRCC office with proof that we cannot get a medical appointment within 30 days.

1) What constitutes proof? My spouse has an e-mail confirmation from the doctor's office.
2) What is the best way to contact the IRCC office? our application has already been moved to the visa office in Mississauga.

Cheers!

Email confirmation is fine, you can submit a case specific enquiry.

1) email confirmation should be good enough as proof.
2) use web upload to submit an explanation letter along with the email from doctor's office

ok
Personally I feel, they shouldn't return applications for such minor mistakes
Agreed!

But they have the below law in place and they have to abide by it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An application must meet the requirements of sections 10 and 11 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) to be accepted for processing. Section 12 of the IRPR states: if the requirements of sections 10 and 11 are not met, the application and all the documents submitted in support of the application shall be returned to the applicant.
