Hi congrats! May I ask how long did you waited for the landing appointment in Etobicoke?

I couldn't tell you. Not sure when they made decision on my husband's application. No emails or updates online. Just randomly checked one day and saw it. April 29th is when I saw DM, got letter two days ago...

Hi all
For landing interview.. do we need to carry any other government issued cards other than Passport?

Please let me know incase if any additional cards need to be taken
they check sponsor and applicant driving licence for address verification.

Yeah, I am still keeping the spreadsheet up to date for as long as the applicants are active on the thread.
Out of the 51, 2 people have no updates or whatsoever, 18 are still waiting for DM letter (although 10 may not receive it at all but may get their Landing Invitations directly).

We have 9 applicants from Vancouver and we are all waiting for our landing invitations, except maybe @Mark Ng had his already as he was the 1st applicant to get a DM letter on Feb 28. Any updates @Mark Ng?
Barsarah did you get any update about landing interview?

My DM is not processed yet as I am living in QC (slow processing whatever) and we claimed that we are going to live in Montreal when I filled up the application. Now we have an opportunity that may force us moving to BC.

Q1) Will this move delay the processing time of my application if we inform the CIC?
Q2) To avoid any further delay due to this move, shall we not informing the CIC and come back to QC for landing interview later? We can use my parent's address as our temp address in QC and we are not going to transfer any IDs or changing any mailing correspondences.

I appreciate your responses in advance.

First, moving to another province other than Quebec at this time is not going to help speeding the process up (if that's what you are thinking) and yes it might actually delay the process more
Second, hiding or lying to immigration is the worst thing you can do, even if you don't change the address on your IDs or anything, they'll still know that you changed your residence either from social insurance numbers of you and your partner if you guys got jobs in BC and by renting/buying a place or anything like that, don't try to act smart, immigration are government, they can easily track you

Hi everyone,
I have talked to my lawyer and he told me that I would creat an EE account but without accompanying my spouse in order to increase my point to get invitation. Then I would be apply for myself first. After i get my Pr, then I will be able to sponsor my spouse after eventhough she is sudying right now. im wondering if this is even possible because cic would ask why didnt I apply together before but now. (the lawyer said we can tell she didnt want to stay that time but now) This does not sound right to me. Anyone has same case can guve me some advices please
Many thanks

Thank you for your answer. We are not going to do this just to speed up my application process. We may force to do this as my partner applied for a job position that is in final steps and she is waiting for official offer. So I am confused if she gets the job, what to do not damaging my application and making the best decision meanwhile.

Ok if your partner gets the official offer and you guys obviously have to move then you gotta inform CIC about your residency change, it's very important not to lie or hide anything
