Hi

I am sponsoring my kid for her PR. She lives with me in Canada. Last week I got an email that they have received our application and today I got an email that I have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. What does this mean? Can anyone help me what is the next step and how long will it take?

Thanks
NJ

ti means that you are eligible to sponsor your child... now you wait.. medical will be next request and then time to get the sponsorship approved

Thank you. Usually how long will it take between this stage to the medical stage?

it can take a few days to a few weeks even months.. depends.. patience is needed

Since my kid is in Canada, once they make a decision what happens? Will they ask us to go to one of the borders or should we leave the country and enter again?

You can land in one of the borders

You will either need to flagpole at the border, make a landing appointment at an IRCC office or go to another country and return.

You aren’t compliant with the RO so your child shouldn’t get approved and your PR may be at risk as people pointed out in your previous posts. You’ll have to wait and see what happens.
