The rule Changed on Jun 18, 2018. Now the subsequent visits are for 2 yrs unless otherwise date mentioned on the stamp.
But dn't just exit and try to enter on super vis to just extend the stay, its red flagged in the system.
File for an extension and you can get for 1 year on super visa.

SUPER VISA UPDATE
Program delivery update: Super visa guidance – June 18, 2018

This section contains policy, procedures and guidance used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada staff. It is posted on the Department’s website as a courtesy to stakeholders.

The guidance for super visa holders has been updated to reflect that each entry to Canada should be for a duration of up to 2 years and extensions should be for 1 year. Specific instructions for border services officers and processing offices in Canada have been updated.
But that's what I find absurd. They haven't stated a minimum exit duration. I was thinking of trying our luck by just going to the US for a week, instead of the home country. Is that also frowned upon?

Hi friends
If I fill out form and validate and print bar-cods here in Canada ,then I email it to my parent back home to sign documents and Courier back to me
will it affect bar-codes ? or validation as I am sending it by email ( not originally generated ) to back home to get sign .
Is it good plan ??
thanks
I saved all the validates forms in pdf.
And sent that to parents by email.
I didnt want to send the original editable versions as the person printing it might accidentally change something and validate.
So pdf versions were read only, I don’t think the barcodes should have any problem.

I tried that and got sent to secondary. Officer told me they should return to home country. just going to US does not extend their visa. So I filed the extension.

This will become a problem in the future, if not in the application stage.. My friend who got the PR and don't have last name came here and ended up changing his name in the passport through Indian consulate or else CIC won't issue him a PR card.. Last name is mandatory for CIC I think..

For application stage, you can call up the CIC agent and ask him what is the best course to take.
I had a same issue. My parent's last name is not in my passport but it is in their passport. So I filled their actual last name as per their passport. I did the same for my PR renewal, citizenship application and even OCI. Never had a issue. If they raise a query, I can explain.

Looks like lots of your proof documents are not even required or needed by CIC as per their checklist but it never hurts. I don't think University educations certificates, Resume, Service tax registration, Tax statements last 10 years, Aadhar Card etc are even required at all. I am not including any one of the above documents at all. Always go with what has been asked from my point of view. Sometimes too much unnecessary information can cause confusion too.
Agree, this is overkill. Like @Mandy5679 I am not including any of the documents she mentioned just to make the processing officer wade through reams of paper.

Thank you!! Because my parents have a small family business for over 20 years continuously, so I just put they are business owner for that period of time under Personal History, and do not list any short travel (1-6 days each trip)

Just my opinion, I would put self employed for them from 2009 to present but if they went on vacation in between those times i would put it too only if they're away for a month or more. I think any activity that falls in the category whether they're studying, travelling, employed, in jail or retired should be declared in their personal history.

Hey Guys,
For supporting documents "5. Copy of travel document or passport for the principal applicant and each accompanying dependent":
1. Are you copying ALL pages of the passports
2. Are you copying expired passports as well as the current one?

1. All pages just to be on the safe side
2. Only current passport. But then again my mom has not traveled in last 10 years so not sure if some people whose applicant has travelled, are including old passports as back up.

Hello there,

I am in a family of 3 (myself, husband and mother - no dependents/divorced yada yada) and I am currently making enough to not need a co-signer. In my application I have noted that my husband won't be co-signing as this is the preference for the both of us.
Question: if something changes from June until her application is finalized, and I need my husband to help me with the MNI, could he be added as a co-signer as he is already named on all the paper work (as my husband, but not a co-signer)?
