I have received an invitation to apply for my Parent's PR in 2019. I am able to meet the MNI for 2018 and 2017. However, for 2016 I am unable to meet the MNI for 4 people of $58,768 as I landed in Canada in April 2016 and have worked only from June to December, thereby my Income for the year is only for 6 months. I do have Income while I was working in the US from Jan to March 2016.

Question: Does CRA/IRCC recognize the US Income in 2016, while I was not a resident of Canada, which would increase my total 2016 income to meet the MNI?

No, Canadian income only. If you didn’t meet LICO in those 6 months you don’t qualify.

They are updated. IRCC typically don't revise forms in the middle of a 60 day deadline. They do usually update in the middle of the waiting game. So if they requested you in the middle of the application to re-submit a form, you may want to check online if the forms had been recently revised.

Hi, can someone help, I just found out today that my wife has earlier sponsored her sister under Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program many years ago. This is completely not in my understanding up to today. She has signed some financial agreement with Manitoba but not the Federal, is this considered an undertaking under effect? I am extremely upset with this surprise news as she never told me before on this one

in 2016, i was contracting and made roughly e.g. 110K but paid tax on $75K which is at line 150.
35K were the business expenses,

which one is my gross income for that year ? thanks.

Yes it is an undertaking that you must count in your family size..you will have to meet LICO with her included in your family size. You should check to see if your income is sufficient to include one more person in what you counted before before applying
