PR applicants from Iran

From your profile, I assume that you are applying for the US. If so, it is pretty common that they send applicants residing in the US to Montreal office. The downside is that Montreal office is slower than the Ottawa and Sydney, but the upside is that they usually finalize applicants from the US faster than the others. I think some part of your criminality, security, and info sharing is much faster as the Canada and US share info. Stay positive my friend. You still have long way to go.

Per my last conversation with the call center, my eligibility is "not started", is it possible that CIO might have not done anything on my eligibility and just transfer my case to local VO? I am afraid if I order my notes now, I might not find anything new.

Thanks for your kind words, I am very glad that I find this thread. Being with a slow VO, will ensure my continued presence here . Per my last conversation with the call center, my eligibility is "not started", is it possible that CIO might have not done anything on my eligibility and just transfer my case to local VO? I am afraid if I order my notes now, I might not find anything new.

I think they only verified the completeness of your application at CIO and sent if for next steps to Montreal. Yeah, most probably you won't find anything except completeness check.

@Mr_nobody , how a person would know which stream that he has applied under express entry, I obtained PNP and I am inland, however I also should be considered as CEC inland as i have enough work experience in Canada and got relevant points that qualifies me for such, the reason that I am asking is, comparing to CEC, this PNP inland stream in immigration tracker moving as the slowest stream regardless of anyone nationality and i was hoping to be considered in CEC if that makes any sense at all!

The agent however said I see that background and security have been passed ( exactly 100 days since Security start day ) but there is no decision yet. it may takes weeks or months depend on your VO, the agent said.

The deadline on my gcms notes was 2nd of Feb. Whats your thoughts?

I know that for different categories of express entry, CIC decides by itself and the order is CEC > FSW > FST. So, for example, when I created my express entry profile, I had the conditions of both CEC and FSW and my points were higher than the min for both cases.But in ITA, I only received the invitation to apply for CEC. But, I don't know what happens in the cases of pnp. Have you searched other forums? It must be the same story. I will search and let you know if I find anything.

Then why the agent told you that you only passed eligibility and security? If you passed criminality, then there is nothing left and the agent talked nonsense.
The only thing left is that the officer reviews everything one more time and approves the file.Then the file will be sent to the queue for ppr.
I am pretty sure that if it is the case, the officer has already checked everything and approves it (I mean who opens the file updates the security, but don't finalize it quickly). You just need to wait for ppr

I would say wait till tomorrow afternoon. If you didn't hear anything call them again, and this time ask them what is left. Also, ask them if there is a deadline on your file.

nothing is left except final decision by officer and the agent said this may take weeks or months!!!! I told her , Madam my application is already exceeded normal processing time by 4 months! she had nothing to say. man bazi vaghta migam ina chejori momkene bara government kar konan? yani inghad rahat mishe vared shod ? faghat french bedunim ?!!!

The thing is that they are call center agents and they may not have any idea how it works. Let's hope everything is fine and you get yours soon

@Mr_nobody Thanks for clarification, they key point as you mentioned was to look at invitation to apply , mine said we are pleased to invite you to apply for PR under PNP. so slow moving PNP track is for me

Don't worry, recently I noticed that some pnp are getting processed faster. You never know. Hope you are one of the cases that gets done faster.

Also, I have another question, how many years of work experience did you have? What was your level of education?
Given that it is very hard to make the points reach the threshold, I assume you had a very high points in your IELTS exam. Is that correct? And one last thing, what was your CRS score?

I had had around 4 years of work experience when my profile was created. My level of education is master degree. Yes, we have to have a high IELTS score otherwise we cannot reach the threshold for the federal program. Mine score was L8,R9,S7,W7. My CRS score was 461.
